Are people that gullible to think that a great player's son is supposed to be as good as the father?Comment

I think expectations are a little high. Michael Jordan was the best basketball player ever to step on a court.Comment

Re: Jordan II....Michael Jordan's son playing ball....
Happens in the NBA. A good example is Kobe Bryant who is still a superstar. Also, the Barrys are another example. Oh, I think Patrick Ewings son is a good college player. Just transfered to Georgetown or something. Sean Mays' father was a good college player too and he's a good player. If they're around it so much, they kind of pick up a lot of those good tendencies. How old are both of MJ's sons??Comment

"I want to show that I belong here," he said. "I guess I'm not the top one or two or three or four players in my state, but I want to show that I can play here and that I'm not just a name."
he's gonna be living those quotes his whole lifeComment

- He sucked at Indiana... averaged about 4 per game, and got no playing time. He is no where near as good as his father was (not even in his dreams.)

But those are the exceptions in sports... Yes, it happens... see the Boones in Baseball...the Howes in hockey... or, like you said, the Barry's. But, even at that.... the Sons aren't nearly as good as the Dad.Originally posted by luv_mistHappens in the NBA. A good example is Kobe Bryant who is still a superstar. Sean May's dad... Kobe's Dad... they were borderline NBA players. Not All-Stars.
Remember all of these players (roughly 450 active NBAers) have fathers, brothers, etc... how many fit this story? Very few.
Becoming a pro athlete is not easy. Being a pro and playing at a high level is even more rare. In fact, using Baseball because it is the oldest of the four major pro sports. Only 9 Father/Son combos have ever made it to even All-Star status.

Marcus is actually 6'4, and Jeffery is the dunker from what I seen.Comment
