Quentin Richardson is a VERY quality starter in the league, while Raja Bell is nothing more than a backup. He's not a liability on defense, in fact, he was pretty decent especially when he was on the Clippers. Remember, he pretty much played a different role for the Clippers than the Suns. Dont base your opinions solely on what he did for Phoenix, because it was two entirely different roles.

Regardless of minutes, he's still a better player. Ask anyone who they'd rather have on their team, and 99 times out of 100 (I guess youre the 1), they'll say they'd rather have Quentin.

We have to see Raja on phx first man, we don't know what he'll do. Who thought Q was going to shoot this many 3's for the Suns? No one did. But yeah i like Q, but i have to disagree, he was a liability on defense. I watched every game and i would be so pissed at him for not helping on slashing players, or just simply boxing out! Maybe it was the system but he was so worried on making sure he breaks on a fastbreak and not helping close in on some defenders. And remember a couple of those games against Dallas? He was guarding howard and he had so many offensive boards, because Q was guarding him.

But i'm not saying i will take Raja over Q, i just have to see Raja play on our team b4 i make judgement.

Yeah, sometimes Quentin didnt play the best defense, but I think the system has more to do with that than people think. Back when he was with the Clippers, I remember him playin some very good defense and being hardnosed. He would always go for rebounds and he was always in the mix.

I dont know, whatever man. He's not on our team anymore, and Raja will be.

I'm hearing the the offer sheet the Hawks are going to offer will be heavily front-loaded, meaning that they or PHX would have to pay more than 20 million for the 1st season.

I'm confused on that part. I've heard two different things: A.) the new CBA allows signing bonuses so the 20 million is JJ's starting salary + the signing bonus and B.) What you just said. Not sure which is true, and kinda hard to tell with the CBA still unofficial.

Howard does that to everyone, even the good defenders. I wouldn't read too much into that.


However, Matrix, I dont think Que was ever considered a very good defender. The only thing I've heard different from Que in PHX adn Que in LAC is that in LA, Que would go down to the block more, and in PHX he's more of spot up shooter.

What vinceanity is saying is Atlanta is offering a 20 million dollar signing bonus up front which is an attempt to discourage PHX from matching...
Remember Denver did the same thing to Kmart to pry him away from Jersey
