    Sarunas Jasikevicius

Hey I seen this guy play at Maryland for four years and he is deadly from three point range. He is the best international player not in the NBA. They say the Cavs are after him. Lebron James, Larry Huges and Sarunas would make a deadly NBA team.

until he plays some D he will be just a "aight" player by NBA standards. More or less an athletic Steve Kerr.

I am in total agreement. If I were an NBA team, I would not look at this guy to be a player you put a lot on. I would be interested if I already had a solid point guard, but not if I desperately needed one.
After more than eight years on here, I finally figured out how to edit my time zone!

the only European player that liked "contact".....tough as hell!!! All the rest of these punks (except Ginobili and Nocioni) are too "pretty" and shy away from contact.

No doubt, Marciulionis was a total badass.

Jasikevicius is getting so much hype its sickening. I predict a Jason Williams clone.

He's a winner though. The guy is clutch and a heady player. He can be an impact player IMO.

Good point, but I think he would be a great spot up shooter for the Cavs. He would not fit with every team but the Cavs could use him. I remember at Maryland they said the guy could not guard a rock.

But does being a winner in Europe translate into a winner in the NBA?

He was able to play against our best in the Olympics wasn't he?

I watched this guy's Euroleague champhionship game on NBA TV and he looked like the real deal.

He wasn't just able to play against our best, he SMOKED our best. He absolutely lit UP the US. No one could block this guy, he nailed three after three with hands in his face.

That being said, there is SOME reason that this guy has never played in the NBA. He played 4 years of college ball here, it's not like he is a young european project. He put up *OK* numbers at Maryland, he wasn't nationally known. I think he was drafted in the 2nd round and chose to play in Europe instead for the guaranteed money. I would love to see the nuggets pick him up, but as a 6th or 7th option off the bench. He's small for the NBA.

                              August 21, 2004 - Lithuania 94 - USA 90

He more than held his own out there that day. They ended up losing to the US in the bronze medal, but from I remember, still played extremely well.
