    What if

    These two had stayed together

Do you think Minnesota's team would have a different makeup and possibly contended for a title?

What do you think they could've been

I'm thinking they would definitely be in the playoffs, maybe a contender, but how different would the supporting cast be if they never got rid of Starbury

      Re: What if

Starbury wanted equal money. They would have never been able to put together a strong supporing cast without brilliant drafting, and they still would have been the 3rd or 4th best team in the West behind the Lakers, Spurs, and Blazers/Kings over the last 8-9 years. All of those teams were deep at their respective peaks.

At least KG woulda' made it out of the 1st round a heck of a lot sooner.

        Re: What if

Why was he sweating more money in the first place as if he was equal to KG?

To this day he still talks about Garnett... its almost like he knows he made a mistake but he wont admit it to himself.

Him staying in Minny, it was probably one of those duo's that was meant to be.

I don't know. You have two very talented guys. One leads his team no matter who is on the court with him, and the other seems to mislead his team no matter who is on the court with him.

Anyways I think if they would had stay together they definetly would had got out of the second round though.

T-Mac and Vince Carter wouldn't have been too shabby either.

Where have you gone James Worthy? Number one pick who probably could have whined until he got traded to a team where he was the man, averaged 28 a game, got paid big money, and never won jack.

Instead he accepted his role as the 2nd or 3rd option and just balled. Career averages of 17,5,3, but he has 3 rings and is in the Hall of Fame. I'll take that over being THE MAN any day.

I don't want to play Human Torch and start any new forest fires in the basketball board, but Kobe could have played this role. He could have been a 20,8,8 guy, defered to Shaq for 45 minutes a game and took over in the last 3 minutes when needed. There are worse things in life then ignorant fans calling you Robin. Just ball, make plays, win rings, and get paid. Forget the ego. Oh well, C'est La Vie.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

This would be valid if you were telling this to someone who doesn't believe it. Problem is, I've been saying this since I've been a member of the forums.

How about Larry and Zo Mourning....Do you guys think their break-up was a bit premature and that they could've eventually done something special?

For some reason there has been a lot of talk on the radio around here of these two teaming back up again. I havent heard if there are any sources of if it is just speculation. I would like to see it again.

Hmmm... If Marbury and Garnett would have stuck together...
                            • Well... Take away Garnett's MVP's... he would now be sharing the spotlight with Stephon... even if he's much better than him.
                            • 37-45 is Marbury's average Record for each team he has been on... he is a LOSING-Player... which no doubt in mind, would he and Garnett ever = Champs. Never!!!

Starbury is the bad apple of any team. He's better off and1 balling with Hot Sauce, The Professor and those people, even if he had tears for being drafted and being in the league.
