    Be afraid, be very afraid

I am a die hard Piston fan and there is a fear in my heart that a team will come into next season with a vengence. That team is the Indiana Pacers. I hope people are not sleeping on them because that will just fuel their fire even more, with the whole "Disrespect us" factor. This team will win the East and maybe the championship after feeling their were robbed their opportunity last season. Jermaine and Artest will have career years while Fred Jones (if he is not traded) will be "most improved player" award winner. Granger will be on the all rookie 1st or 2nd team. Foster will continue to clean up all the garbage and grab every offensive rebound. The loss of Reggie Miller will only missed until they go on their first of many winning streaks, and statistically will be made up by Tinsley and Jackson upping their points by 4 to 6 points a game. As a matter of fact they will be a better defensive team with out reggie in the lineup. Look at their current roster:
    Tinsly, Artest, Jackson, O'neal, Foster
Bench: F. Jones, J. Jones, Granger, Bender, Croshere, Harrison
We are all warned, watch out for the Pacers.

    Sleeping?

I believe the consensus around the NBA is that this is a Championship contender next season seeing as how they're Top 3 in the East. With Testy returning and the drafting of a guy like Granger who could come on early with an immediate impact, I think people are aware of the Indiana Pacers.

Come on, we all know teams like detroit and indiana will never get the play like Miami, and any team out west will get. All the experts go on superstar teams like Duncan's team, Shaq's team, KG's team and so on. If they wanted Jermaine, Artest, Richard Hamilton, Chauncey Billups could score more and lead the league in scoring, but their not about that. They are all willing to sacrafice their stats and endorsements for the team concept. I hope it comes down to Detroit and Indy in the East. Though the media has gotten better with Detroit, I still feel the media does not respect Indy.

What does any of this have to do with what I posted?

I was responding to you saying people are "sleeping" on the Indiana Pacers which is incorrect. I haven't read/heard a NBA analyst talk about the Eastern Conference contenders next season without mentioning Indiana. Its actually pretty obvious. Just like we know Superstars = Extensive Media Coverage.

Has Shaq, Duncan or KG ever led the league in scoring.....thats just a dumb comment.
And sorry once there is AI, Kobe, Bron, Wade and T mac.....Jermaine, Artest, Richard Hamilton, Chauncey Billups could NEVER lead the lead in scoring, it's jsut not there natural game.

A few years ago teams like DET and indy were looked over but not any more trust me.
“It’s so senseless to me to say he shouldn’t take over like that. You give the same amount of shots to everybody else and they’re not making that many, I know it.”

I said this @ the end of hte year...they have the best coach and their players give 100% everynight...they made the playoffs missing 3 of the star players for most of the season. I believe they CAN win the ship next year.

As much as I hate that attention whore, the Pistons NEED Larry Brown.

Indiana is definately my early favorite to win next year. They got extremely lucky getting a lotto-talented player at #17 in Granger. Add him and Artest to the mix of a team that got to the 2nd round (and I believe took it 6 games) with a multitude of injuries and they're gonna be tough next year.

I think Detroit will take a step back this season. East is just getting better.

i dont because Detroit doesnt really have any old players and if Larry Brown is there then all the players will be there. Indiana has a good chance to be NBA champs.
