    Magic comes to an agreement with Dooling 4yrs 11 million

    <!--StartFragment -->
    The Orlando Magic have reached an agreement with free agent guard Keyon Dooling, sweetening their offer to four years and an estimated $11 million, according to NBA sources today.

    Dooling will sign with the Magic when the league and its players finalize their collective bargaining agreement, which is expected to happen before August 1.

    Dooling played as a reserve last season in Miami, where he averaged 5.2 points, 1.8 assists in just 16 minutes.

    The Magic originally drafted Dooling in 2000 from the University of Missouri, but they traded his rights with Corey Maggette and Derek Strong as part of a salary cap clearing move.

    According to sources, Dooling was promised a "chance to start,'' which is something that he didn't receive in Miami last season.

    Those bastards.

    Dooling is garbage. I wanted Jaric.

    Maybe we can still get him. And man, is four years a long time. I hope we can re-sign Dwight in the next 2 seasons... if not, I give up on the Orlando Magic.

    **There's a good sign out of this bad signing though... Steve Francis will hopefully be a goner.

      Interesting. This changes NJ's plans.

      The Magic must trade Francis now.

        I didn't want him in NJ, not the guy we need to give Kidd a rest, Earl Watson, Steve Blake, Jay Williams or Dan Dickau would be the ideal guys to backup Kidd for 15 minutes. Dooling takes poor shots and to me the Magic are going to regret signing him, he isn't worth all that, one playoff series dosen't make a player
