besides the spurs -barring injury of course ... its hard to predict ... one team that everyone thinks is a top team is gonna flop and one team that everyone thinks is mediocre is going to come through strong .... word .
And with the third pick - I made the earth sick

the only reason i see the sonics making the playoffs again is because you have the weakest division in the west.. although if the wolves righted their ship by getting rid of spree and cassell, it could be the wolves and nuggets in the playoffs leaving your sonics out.

I don't think Sonics will make the playoffs this year. New coach, new system, etc. Plus they haven't sign most of their free agents. If they don't sign their free agents they are in big trouble.

The west is loaded and I don't think Seattle will make it. Their roster is out of shape. BTW, they pick up solid players in Moore and Brunson. Good luck to both of them.

The system is the same, the assistant coach took over who has been around longer than Nate McMillian was as a coach. They only lost one player that made an impact: Antonio Daniels. They are retaining everybody else.

The Sonics without their second and third best players took the Spurs to game 6. With them they had a very good chance and very easily could have taken the series.

The Sonics will drop off slightly if at all. And they are far better than the Clippers.

Re: Last Three Seeds in the West

Spurs, Suns, Mavs, Rockets, Kings.. seem to be headed for the playoffs.

Twolves, Clippers, Lakers, Sonics, Warriors, Nuggets, Grizzlies, maybe the Jazz seem to be pretty even.
The Sonics are much more of a lock then are the Kings. I would not at all be surprised if they weren't in the Playoffs. The West is gonna be brutal(in a good way) next season.

Even at this point, I'd say the W's are more of a playoff lock. That team can be a top 5 if Baron Davis stays healthy and Jason Richardson plays as good as he did last season.

I think they have a chance, they have a deep roster.

They should be in contention if Davis is healthy.

                        You really think so?

                        This year:
G- Mike Bibby l Jason Hart / Eddie House
G- Bonzi Wells l Francisco Garcia
F- Peja Stojakovic l Kevin Martin
                        F- Shareff Abdul-Rahim l Kenny Thomas
C- Brad Miler l Brian Skinner

                        Last Year:
G- Mike Bibby l Eddie House / Bobby Jackson
G- Cuttino Mobley l Maurice Evans
F- Peja Stojakovic l Kevin Martin
F- Kenny Thomas l Darius Songaila

I'm sorry, but anyone that has the Suns still in the playoffs is out of their minds. Our front office isn't smart enough to keep us in the playoffs. We suck, get over it.

Re: Last Three Seeds in the West

Warriors will not make the playoffs. They suck.

Kings will not win their division or finish higher than the Mavs. Abdur Rahim and Bonzi Wells? lmao that does not make up for Dirk, Terry, Josh Howard, and one of the deepest benches in the league.

Suns will not win 60 games. Low 50s sounds about right. Last year they had no injuries and everything was just clicking. This year their luck will run out.

Rockets will be good but not great. Seems like every year the Rockets should have home court advantage but it just doesn't happen. This year will be no different, even with Stromile.

The Sonics will be good again. Losing Jerome James is a huge plus. Collison will see more PT as will Radmonovic.

Dont sleep on the Nuggets. A full season under George Karl.

Mavs once again will silence the critics (jealous of big D, the Cowboys, the riches, the Cuban, the Dirkster). Steve Nash? pshhh. We got Terry. Forget Finley we got Daniels. Josh Howard is an PTP'er. Dirk is still Dirk (25 and 10). Dampier can bang and dont forget Stackhouse and Van Horn off the bench along with a certain top5 pick from Wisconson. **ck the Rockets they are a 3 player team with a bunch of lifetime scrubs/ neanderthals.

                            SPURS ARE UNBEATABLE.

I disagree. Ray Allen was in his contract last year, which motivated him to play better in the regular season and in the playoffs. How do you know they are going to retain everybody? Evans and Radmanovic are two crucial part of their team. If they don't resign those two they are in deep trouble. And who is their starting center anyway? Potapenko? Give me a break.

If they resign all of their key free agents they have a better chance of making the playoffs. And also, if they do make the playoffs it's because they have the weakest division just like what mrs. carraba said.

IMO, the Clips are the better team.

                              Clippers | Sonics
                              Livingston > Ridnour
                              Mobley < Allen
                              Maggette = Lewis
                              Brand > Collison
                              Kaman > Potapenko

                              Bench > Bench
                              Coach > Coach

                              History <<< History
                              Future >>> Future

We will get an idea who's the better team as the Sonics host the Clippers for the first game of the season for both teams.

Gotta remember that Webber played 46 games for the Kings last year. I agree that the Kings are much more of a lock than Seattle. The Kings core (Bibby Peja and Miller) will easily be enough to drive them to the playoffs.

Either way, I don't understand why Seattle hasn't resigned Radmanovic or Evans yet and if they don't succeed in doing so, their playoff chances are reduced greatly. Moore/Fortson/Collison is nothing compared to the Radmanovic/Evans/James of last year
                                I do because I can, I can because I want, I want because you say I can't
