Padgett signing with NJ
InsideHoops.com editor Jeff Lenchiner reports that Scott Padgett will sign with the New Jersey Nets. The 6-9, 240 Padgett is the size of a power forward but he shoots outside like a guard, with a career 38.8% three-point field goal percentage." InsideHoops.com

I was going to say the same thing, I really don't think the players really do fail the physical, Ratner doesn't want to shell out money & in the long run Kidd is going to want out. Kidd window of oppurtunity for a championship is small, so they have to get the right players before his chance for a championship is too late.Comment

Padgett was gonna come to Phoenix, but later backed out. He's a good pickup.Comment

If you meant Kidd instead of Jefferson, it is hard to trade Kidd with his current condition where he is somewhat of an injury prone and with his contract, he is a hard pill to swallow. Aside from that, he is showing signs that either his age or injuries in the past is starting to catch up on him.
But either way, I beleive SA will always have a space for him behind Parker.Comment

I agree with you on the age part from time to time J does show his age especially on the defensive side as he can't keep up with quicker guards, but he also shows he's smart using his size to backdown most PG.Comment

Re: Padgett signing with NJ
Finally Rod wouldn't trade Kidd to S.A. unless he's getting Parker & Ginobili in a trade
But I wouldn't put that past Mr. Thorn. One of the best GMs in the league easily.Comment
