    Looks like Bob's Cats are going to be the first NBA team to....

    Move into a new arena and sell LESS season tickets. OUCH!!! Even Atlanta didn't go down!

      whats up with the charlotte basketball teams? is it that most people prefer college basketball in that area?

          I think the Panthers "success" has a role in fans not buying season tickets to the Bobcats, not eveyone can afford both sets, I know if I had to choose I'd go with Panthers even though I like the Bobcats more as a team in their sport...just a bigger football fan. I hope the fans in the area turn up the support for the Bobcats though I want them to succeed here, and its also one of the places I will be looking for a job in a few months...

              3 reasons.


              1. ACC Basketball is king in this state. Sorry it just is. Don't like it than deal with it or move.

              2. After how the Hornets were people are still skeptical. A lot of people didn't even want a team back, and with the new arena still didn't.

              3. They have to get good first before people come. Charlotte is a bandwagon town. If you win they are behind you. You go 1-15 or lose on opening weekend they want you disbanded.

                      Everyone saw that coming. They had to jack them up a lil bit. Since the new arena was built. Bob had to "make" some profits somehow. They were cheap as crap at the Old Charlotte Coliseum, because they were there for only 1 season. Now that they have a permenant home, with all the furnishings it's heavy price time.

                              was the scoreboard up yet? I'm gonna try my best to be out there for the home opener, which falls on a Saturday... Maybe a couple more, since my firm's Charlotte office gets season tickets...
