Re: Low pressure Stops human player drives

Well went to coaching options and lowered defensive pressure and double teamed in the paint on the pg sg and sf i left everything default for pf and c. I did this for both me and the computer.

sliders and maxed out defense wareness, speed, and blocks
and lowered steal to 0, dunk, layup vs shoot also at 0

I am also experimenting with the foul sliders at 0
    but maxed out in rules

I left the precentage sliders close to default i moved them up very little. Thats all I can remember right now, I will check and see what else later

Dave makes the point that should be heard. It's not about backing off everyone. You've gotta think about who the player is and guard him accordingly. When I play Grant Hill I guard him loose. When I play Ray Allen I guard him tight. You shouldn't guard everyone loose, adjust accordingly.

I feel that point but it was more about the computer stopping me from driving not as much as me stopping the computer. Because if a shooter catches the ball I may pressute the ball my self. I understand his point though makes sense to me

this method doesn't make driving anymore difficult....also being able to get the D up in the air on a pump fake EVERYTIME by having the def awareness maxed out is so far from realistic...in short, this theory doesn't work...what coach would say hey play loose D on jordan so he can't drive, ok so let him shoot 18 footers all day? The DT'ing thing in the paint ONLY works if a player is posting up...I don't know where you're getting this thing from that after you get by your man the CPU rotates over to pick you up...that's just wrong.

arenas, actually most coaches would tell players to play loose D on players like jordan and iverson b/c the percentage of close shots made (or fouls) is much higher than jump shots made.

Thats kind of what I was trying to get at. Do you want to give MJ the J which you can close out on and contest or give him the lane and the And1. MJ, don't get me wrong, will hit open shots but not a 100 percent clip. Plus they do go out and contest shots still. It is a matter of choice if it doesn't work to your liking don't use it, but it has given this game a new life for me.

Anybody tried the low pressure and double team in the paint? I was watching the hornets game and both teams played a match up zone. Each team played off there man and switched and helped on the drive and they forced the outside J
