IS MICHAEL JORDAN'S NAME IN THE MUD....

through th eyes on MANY, MJ was looked at as the ideal sports hero of our time. he WAS a devoted husband & family man, until these recent reports of his affair with other women. this has got to be a blow in the PR department for this guy. imagne being his kids and having to hear this stuff go on.

anyone want to "BE LIKE MIKE!", now?...

I am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" I love flying into a corner WAY too hot, scared spitless and sure I'll never hold it at this speed- and hearing the bike whisper "Sissy!"...

Re: IS MICHAEL JORDAN\'S NAME IN THE MUD....

MJ is human. He's done nothing any different than what many men do. Only difference is he's famous and gets reported in the news. Let's not judge. There are many devoted family men that step out on their wives and children for whatever reasons. I'm not saying it's right which it isn't, but it happens. You just don't hear about regular people a lot. Ask yourself, if you enjoyed the same status as a professional athlete, do you really think that you wouldn't dip and dabble in other pudding? Ever? If not, I commend you, you have tremendous will power and discipline. The politically correct thing would be to day you'd be faithful to that wife for all the days of you lives, but if you were MJ could you do it? I imagine it would be tough. I don't think it's a PR blow for MJ. He'll still be the commodity he has always been. The name will still sell. I've never wanted to be like Mike. I would like to have money like mike. People saw the Barkley commercial back in the day that "he is not a role model" but did we really SEE AND HEAR what he was saying. These guys are human and make the same mistakes that we do. Wanna be like someone, be like Christ, be like your mother or father, a teacher. Don't always look to be like professional athlete unless it's on the field or court. That's all I have to say about that.

It just proves that Big name celebreties are human too(with the exception of Wacko Jacko, he's in a league all by himself)
Look at Bill Clinton, he proved to everyone that you can have the highest position in the US and still have skeletons in the closet.

He is human like everyone else - Even Bill Clinton cheated.

I think this will endear more people to him because most don't care if he knocked up some skank woman.

MJ just fell from the pedestal that he shouldn't have been placed on anyway. Greatest b-ball player ever? Maybe. But still prone to human failure!

Sometimes people tend to make gods out of men, which is a huge mistake!

This is ALL old news to me. I was hearing rumors about his cheating since '98. As a teenager at the time and huge Bulls/MJ fan, I did look at him differently. He's no longer really my "role model" now -- but mostly because I'm 23 yrs friggin old...I don't need no role model.

What MJ did wasn't right, but like others have said before me, HE'S HUMAN -- I'M OVER IT. What he does in his personal life is his business, not ours, and especially not the media's. And yes, he should never have been put on a pedastool as a "god"......but he's still the greatest ever

The only mistake he made was not wearing condoms.

It probably will die out for a couple of reasons. Ever since that gambling scandal, everyone knows that Jordan isn't Mr. Polly Purebread. A couple of years ago, SI did a article on NBA players and their children, so for him to do it would be nothing shocking to most. Also, the people who idolized him in the early 90's are either adults or on their way to adulthood, so they are not so nieve about these things. Lastly this society has become desensitized to adulltrey, and this won't affect ticket sales or whatever he endorses.

Bull****. Devoted family men don't step out on their wives and children -- PERIOD.

Do you have a wife? Kids? Plan on stepping out soon? I don't plan on it.

You know what, I shouldn't have said devoted family men step out on their wives because it's contradictory. Men of their stature and wealth can have any woman at their disposal so the chance that they step out on their wives is high.
And no i'm not married and I have no kids. I am engaged and getting married in July 2003. Being that I don't have women (groupies) knocking down my door at any given time. I am just trying to put myself in their position and be realistic. MJ married young, you know he was still hitting other women. Most men mess around more in the beginning in their marraige than any other time. I don't know. Just be real. And your total outlook on life and your priorities change once you've been married for awhile and with kids. I just wish I could see some of you guy in the situation of a high profile guy who gets it thrown at you 24/7.

"He's human" is not an excuse.

Adulterers should be strung upside down in a public place and beaten senseless with billy clubs wrapped in barbed wire.
