Bill Walton and Jim Gray

Can there be a more annoying duo that these two.

No offense, but as Im watching the Nuggets/Lakers game... ALl im hearing is Kobe Kobe Kobe, and Lakers Lakers Lakers... not alot on the game, and whats going on, and as sloppy as the game has been, nothing about how they need to improve turnovers and playing smarter....

I keep hearing, "well ya know Scottie Pippen did work with the Lakers this summer"

"Ya know Phils impressive resume, he took that and sat out last year"

"Oh Michael Jordan said at hoops gym this summer that Kwame has a chance to move on with his life"

As George holds Melo's arm in a scramble for a loose ball "carmelo goes flailing his arms"... which wasnt the case

"phil is so special" "remember when he coached Shaq to those championships"

blah blah blah

I just want to hear about basketball, not this gibberish. Its making me much dumber having to watch this game.

Is it me or are these analyst less impressive each year?

I wont even go into Greg Anthony saying the Lakers are his sleeper for the Western Conference Finals this year.

Tell me about it horrible lol, just hear Walotn say "Wow cant believe the Nuggets are still in this game Miller only has 2 pts..." Then about 10 minutes later its amazing the lakers are still in this game with no frontcourt help"

Make your mind up Mr. Walton or let me take over and call the aciton. The least you can do is make sense and not contradict your self...

Bill Walton can be funny at times but when he's stuck on one subject then you better watch out! It can be REAAAL bad. It's a shame I missed this game. (I wasn't feeling so well)

Jim Gray is someone i've hated since he pulled that stunt on Pete Rose.

Everything about that station sucks, and not just in hoops. Anyways ya their basketball package is terrable. Walton said Nene was one of the premere big men in the league .TNT's broadcast absolutely blows it away in every way.

Hey..in my country ( Poland - Europe ) we have only one ( sic ! ) station doing and broadcasting the games. There are 3 commentators alltogether. Talk about being bored here. At least they know what they are talking about and analyze pretty good plays run during the games.

Walton will praise a player like he's headed to the HoF one moment and then kcik him out of the entire NBA the next. He's too emotional and exagerates waaaayyyy too much. An his ability to anaysis a game and present it to a audience is lacking.

Jim Gray is just a spare. Most sideline reporters are.

and Kdre, sounds like you have more of a laker problem... nevermind that everyone laughed at greg anthony for saying the lakers were a sleeper. Its no different with a Cavs game, or anygame where the story is clearly going to be on one team more than the other..

I remember one of the college games Walton was doing a couple of years ago. He went on and on about how the players would go down into a basement at one of the kids house and play playstation as kids. I was like WTF is he talking about. He can be funny at times, but other times you are just wandering what is he talking about. The funny thing is Tolbert and him always act like they were hall of fame players. When in all actuality Tolbert was a bench warmer and Walton was decent until his knees caught up with him.

I almost choked on a potato chip.

I think one of the most underrated commentators is Mark Jackson. He's now on board with YES calling the Nets games. He's so steady and sharp with his commentary. He's not opinionated or brash. Too bad I can't stand the Nets so I don't watch their games.

Jim Gray needs to seriously get yoked up by one of the players. His routine...excuse me...gimmick is so freaking obvious.

Whenever he's interviewing someone in the stands, he's ask 2 "nice" questions. And then the next one will be so over the top you want to knock the guy out. Let's say he's interviewing.......Vanessa Bryant.

Gray: So, it's great to see your husband keep his team in the game right?
VB: Sure, he's the greatest.

Gray: He seems more relaxed this year. Have you noticed?
VB: Sure, he's the greatest.

Gray: So, I heard Karl Malone was tapping that ***, what it do chica???
