how come this forum isn't as pumped up as the football forum?
when I go to the football forum, there are threads for individual games, and when I come here, all we have are a few controversial issue threads and "one" gameday thread dedicated to all the games for that day, and not that many people even post in that.

It's just that there are 82 games in an NBA season. There are 16 games in an NFL season. Suffice it to say, the NFL regular season means more than the NBA regular season as far as individual matchups go. -

Originally posted by bball_1523yes, but the support is still lacking. Even in the gameday threads there's not that many posts. It seems like almost any little thing that happens in a football game gets posted, but it takes longer for small things to be posted in the nba forum.Last edited by Feared; 11-05-2005, 05:47 PM.Minnesota Vikings

Most probably because almost all the NFL games are scheduled on sunday and theres a week of anticipation leading up to that day, as with NBA games there will be games schedules pretty much every night..so if you miss 1 day of watching NBA action it won't matter as much because your team will be playing again within 2 days.
Maybe I'm taking this too far, but I still don't see a lot of involvement in this forum. I come here almost everyday antipating discussion about the day's game, but bearly any speaks.Comment

Come back about christmas time the board usually heats up then...right now there isn't much to discuss cause the teams have only played a few games. Any indept discussion will be a bit premature.“It’s so senseless to me to say he shouldn’t take over like that. You give the same amount of shots to everybody else and they’re not making that many, I know it.”Comment

We do what we can dude. Most of us have school, jobs, family, etc. Football games are on a sunday afternoons so we can sit down and enjoy the afternoon watching and discussing games. The NBA is every night and some of us have other responsibilities. Everyone does what they can and I for one enjoy talking to these guys because they're some of the most diehard NBA fans I've met.Favorite Teams:
CFB: Ohio State Buckeyes
NFL: San Francisco 49ers
NBA: Los Angeles Lakers
MLB: San Francisco GiantsComment

^Yep.
Like others have said, its basically that 90% of all football games are within 6 hours, so everyone comes at the same time to talk and stuff. It doesn't seem to me that between Tuesdsay an Saturday that the football section is any busier than the basketball one.Comment
