I dont know about you but getting them TO the big game dont mean garbage. At least that was the standard when they tried to blame webber for not getting them "Over the Hump". Adelman is a loser from the portland days and there are no championships in the Kings Organization. So thinking that tey were good because they got so far is laughable. They are a Joke. And they didnt get out of the wastelands till webber got there with divacs and therest. now that you have none of the core except peja, you aint gettin no rings. Industry rule number 4082- Never build your team around a european player. Thats what you dont wanna do. Name one team who has done it and won a ring.

    You cant.

Peja is trying to carry the Kings while everyone else is struggling... Kings benched gets outscored 56-16. Brad Miller needs to take it upon himself to be more aggressive.

How long have Earos been in the league? Good lord, Euros have only made a major impact in the NBA in the past 7 to 8 years. Come talk to me in 20 years and we might have something to talk about.

Webber was let go because of his contract, not because of his play. Do you know the old addage, it's better to trade a guy a year too early than a year too late? They needed to dump that contract and get something, anything for him and Petrie did the best he could. Again, way to smack a guy that took a team from the dumps to a major attraction. Petrie is not to blame in this whole thing.

Re: what's going on with the kings?

as quickly as he brings them from the dirt he puts them right back in it by making the deals he has. abdur rahim is the picture of health right? what is his contract worth? and when he has to ante up for peja is he gonna break the bank again for him and then try to get rid of him when his contract doesnt add measure up to his play? dirk nowitski tony kukoc manu ginobli peja stojakovic.
All great complamentary guys when they have someone else manning the ship while they play second fiddle. all great players but besides manu and kukoc who both won rings because they werent depended on to do nohing but play a role and not lead, neither peja or dirk will ever, yes EVER, win a ring with them playin that euro, no defense all score bullsh they play. aint gonna happen.

and yes i am well aware why they got rid of webber. i live in the bay area and heard plenty of the real reasons they traded him. and yes the contract was one of about 2 or 3 things but it wasnt the main thing. it was his knee. but petrie will reap what he sowed by puttin this team together the way he did. he better have another rabbit in that hat or else he may be looking for another job. I hear the Maloofs need help at the Palms greeting the High Rollers.

Re: what's going on with the kings?

IMO, the problem with SAC is they have to many guys that are good with the ball in their hands / scorers. They dont have defenders. They dont have role players. Bonzi Wells and SAR are good players (they had me fooled that they would make SAC better) but when you already have a "big 3" (<--I try to use that lightly) in Miller, Peja, and Bibby, you need defensive-minded, role players at the other positions.

Trading for a PJ Brown would be a perfect fit at PF for them. Not sure he's available anymore though. At SG they need a Josh Howard, Shane Battier type player who will do the dirty work and can work off others to score.

Watching them, they just dont have any rythem or flow to their game. Maybe it will come in time when every gets adjusted to the others game and the way they play, but its not looking good now.

Agreed, I'm sure the Kings are realizing how valuable Doug Christie was for them. The guy brought in leadership ability, ball handling skills and a solid defensive effort every night.

I would kill to have Bobby back. I think they miss him more than anyone. I think people are also missing just how valuble Vlade was.

Re: what's going on with the kings?

"Rumors persist that Sacramento’s Peja Stojakovic wants a trade to the Bulls or is hoping to sign here as a free agent next summer. But Deng’s upside makes acquiring another small forward a difficult call. The biggest question right now is the revolving door at power forward. Michael Sweetney (9.8 points) has been an effective scorer, but coach Scott Skiles hasn’t played him more than 25 minutes in any game." Arlington Heights Daily Herald

"Certainly it appears so, that the players are no longer responding as Adelman begins his eighth season here as head coach - an eternity by NBA standards. Utah's Jerry Sloan is an anamoly, an NBA freak of nature. Most coaches cite four to five years in one location as the outer limits of sustained employment. And while every coach is subjected to second-guessing on the airwaves and in print, the Kings' ongoing dilemma is less about X's and O's than about heart and soul." Sacramento Bee

"And Bibby has to find his game, then find Peja. "I don't know what it is," the dejected point guard said afterward. "The system ... I can't seem to get him (Stojakovic) the ball." The voices in the locker room have become a siren song, confusion and dysfunction reigning. Kenny Thomas wonders why he isn't playing. Brian Skinner can't get on the floor. Same for the physically punishing Corliss Williamson." Sacramento Bee

I found these interesting to say the least..

Its not like I am trying to refute what you said, but I beleive SAC has too many role players and no leader with intensity to guide them. Bibby is a good player, but he ain't no leader. Peja is one of the best shooters in the NBA today but he doesn't have the intensity to win whatever it takes. Miller is also a good player also but he doesn't have the impact Webber once brought over to SAC when he first came in there. Put someone like maybe Jason Kidd and get rid of Bibby in the process and SAC will be a team to watch out. They just need a leader to guide them and they can easily be on track once again.
