How 'bout that Arenas fella? He sure is something.

WOW....the Wiz look strong this season. They come into C-Town on tues, which should be a big game and good measuring stick for both squads.

Looks like Hughes' departure was addition by subtraction, giving Arenas more shots. Its early, but the East is much looking tougher than the West top to bottom...looks like xcelldarim31 was on to something.

Being a "winner" can be so overrated. I think its more about what a player brings to the team.

Does the guy give his all every night? That's a "winner's" attribute.

Does the guy sacrifice his stats for the team? (An example could be always matching up against the best offensive threat) That's a "winner's" attribute.

Does the guy make his teammates better? (Not necc. like the Duncan's or Shaq of the league, but does he cheer for them, does he encourage them, does he have relationships with them to where they are willing to lay it on the line for the other teammates). That's a "winner's" attribute.

Does the guy make big plays at critical times in a game? (Defensive rebound, good rotation, smart pass, ect maybe when another team is on a big run). That's a "winner's" attribute.

A lot of players can win games just because they are talented. A lot of players can win games because they have good teammates or the have "winner's" around them, but just judging them by what round of a playoff series, how many championships, or how may games they win each year doesn't constitute that IMO.

Ernie Grunfeld should win Exec. of the year for the job that he has done with the Wiz. 2 years and he got them past the first round. He loses Hughes....no problem. He regroups with a genius trade (Kwame Brown fo r Butler and Atkins) and now the team looks better then ever. I rather have more depth and veteran leadership then Hughes any day of the week.

P.S. Did anyone see Andray Blatche play against the Sonics? Boy did he look impressive.
