I guess they have change the rules on discontinuing your dribble and then starting it again!!! Did anyone else notice that little slight of hand?

NBA TV Highlight!
Watching NBA TV while I read the boards, and I just saw something I just had to post here to see if anyone else noticed it. They were doing the top ten and at #3, they show a Jason Richerson break away dunk. But before he dunk he travels his butt off. Not just an extra step mind you. While dribbling he passed the ball from his right to left hand at the top of the key and kept dribbling. The bad thing about it was that the Ref was running right next to him and called nothing!

Re: NBA TV Highlight!
Nope but I saw a highlight between the Cavs and I think Magic where Lebron held the ball and ran with it for a good 5 steps or so and dunked the ball. I think that's traveling as well so i'm wondering WHAT GIVES?!
It seems the refs have a very narrow view of what traveling is and isn't.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

lol, it happens a lot, but what sucks is when the star players don't get called for it while the rookies and lesser known players do get called for it.Comment

Re: NBA TV Highlight!
I remember when Jamal Tinsley used to pull off a move where he'd revolve the ball around himself, without the ball touching the floor even once. He'd do it quite often on a fastbreak, I always considered that travelling, and I don't know why the refs never seemed to call it.Comment

Re: NBA TV Highlight!
If I am thinking of the same move that you are talking about, he does not travel most of the time. The one when he does a complete circle around himself and then pass it. If this is the same move you are talking about, he does it durning the two steps that you are allowed to take before shooting or passing the ball. Looks like a travel, but I have replayed and slow-motioned moves like that many times to see if they traveled.Originally posted by neovsmatrixI remember when Jamal Tinsley used to pull off a move where he'd revolve the ball around himself, without the ball touching the floor even once. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment
