Will Jordan Make a Difference?
Will Jordan's increased playing time make a difference on the Wizards? Will they make the playoffs? Will they contend? Will Jordan still be able to maintain his level level of play despite his age? Let's hear some opinions. Personally, I think they will make the playoffs, I think he will maintain his superstar status, and I think they may even make some noise in the playoffs. Theyare going to need contributions from Kwame Brown, Laettner, Dixon, and Hughes and will also need Stackhouse to get back on track. But if these guys play up their potential, I think they will definitely create some havoc come playoff time.Tags: None -
Re: Will Jordan Make a Difference?
I think if Jordan played more minutes, and could stay healthy thru the whole season, then yes, he will make a difference. If he plays a lot of minutes early, then gets hurt, then obviously not.
I don't think that he should be taking on this much of a load this early in the season. The Wiz's record isn't that bad. They are hovering around the .500 mark and I think that Jordan should try to save himself for after all-star break play. Instead of putting more minutes up, he should try to bring the other players (the future of the franchise) along better. And what better way to bring them along than give them minutes. They need PT to get better.
That's my thinking. They could either win games now, and rish MJ's health for later in the season. Or build their base now, and save MJ for when they really need him, for that playoff push. -
Re: Will Jordan Make a Difference?
I think he makes a diffrence, especially if he did it for a superstar-less Wiz team last year, Pre-injury of coarse. They would have made the playoffs if he and Rip didn't suffer the innjuries they did. After his we stink statement they stepped up, and I think they will do much better after some time on the court together , being they are a newly put together team. After the all-star break they should gel better.Comment

Re: Will Jordan Make a Difference?
Jordan and Stack on the court together can give defenses nightmares. It's great for spurts and especially in the 4th quarter but it kills the offense if done for too long. I think Jordan's minutes should remain where they are (about 28 a game) until playoff time.Comment

Re: Will Jordan Make a Difference?
what do i think?
i think Stack should take a back seat to JORDAN and observe how a real leader behaves in certain situations.
i think MJ should be starting over Russel (who stinks!). Russel takes alot of ill adviced shots and often hurts the team early. let MJ start the game so he can feel right-of-the-bat what he be able to do that game. sit him aruond the 3:30-4 min. mark and take it from there.
take care of the ball. these guys (Wizards) get so hyoed when playin' along side MJ, and when he does something exciting, they come outta their game and try to do the same, then, screw up. with a player like JORDAN on their team, the Wiazrds should have the least amount of turnovers of any team. if i were playin' JORDAN, i'd be very concern about ball control...I am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" I love flying into a corner WAY too hot, scared spitless and sure I'll never hold it at this speed- and hearing the bike whisper "Sissy!"...Comment

Re: Will Jordan Make a Difference?
Jordan can't guard most SFs in the league today. He's just too old. He can't do the things he used to to handle the bigger guys. Anyway, Jordan and Stack both do a lot of ISO on offense...that's why they shouldn't both be on the floor for too long. It'll screw up any sort of flow. In the 4th qtr or the end of the season/playoffs, it's fine but not for a whole game.Comment
