OS Rankings: Point Guards of the future??

Got this idea from ESPN(sue me)

Here are the entries, they are from the 2002 draft and after. Tweeners such as Wade and Gordon were admitted on the basis that they may play both in the future. If possible tell me why to....

    The list:
    Ray Felton
    Chris Paul
    Jameer Nelson
    Kirk Hinrich
    Shaun Livingston
    Boris Diaw
    Deron Williams
    Chris Duhon
    Dwayne Wade
    TJ Ford
    Nate Robinson
    Daniel Ewing
    Ben Gordon
    Devin Harris
    Sebastian Telfair
    Luke Ridnour
"Maybe I can't win. But to beat me, he's going to have to kill me. And to kill me, he's gonna have to have the heart to stand in front of me. And to do that, he's got to be willing to die himself. I don't know if he's ready to do that."

      1st Tier
      1. Dwayne Wade
      2. Chris Paul

Both guy look like they can be elite players at their position and do everything on the court.

      2nd Tier
      3. Devin Harris
      4. Kirk Hinirch
      5. Deron Williams

I think these players have the chance to be All-Stars, maybe making it three or four times in their career. A lot will depend on the tean success and how involved they are on the team in the scoring and playmaking responsibilites.

      3rd Tier
      6. Shaun Livingston *(Injuries makes it difficult to predict)
      7. Boris Diaw
      8. Ben Gordon
      9. Raymond Felton
      10. Sebastian Telfair
      11. TJ Ford

Players who will be role players. Definately deserve to start and will be asked to run the team and get other inolved but I dont think they are on the All-Star ability. Though to be fair, each needs improvements on one or two things to reach the next level. As if now (and its early) Im not sure they make that jump.

      4th Tier
      12. Chris Duhon
      13. Luke Ridnour
      14. Jameer Nelson
      15. Nate Robinson
      16. Daniel Ewing

Guys who will probably be backups (or should be) on their respective teams. Ridnour and Duhon are bot starting now and I think they actually are solid starters but I think they could easily be upgraded. Their potential to get better may be limited.

        Top 5

        1. T.J. Ford Best true point on this list make everyone on his team better.

        2. Kirk Heinrich Very good shooter and distributor the leader for an up and coming contender.

        3. Chris Paul Best rookie in the draft this year

        4. Sebastian Telfair Has everything but a consistent jumper.

        5. Raymond Felton Has the potential to be the best in the bunch explosive speed and a ever improving jumper.

Left Wade and Gordon of the list because I didn't think they are pure PG,s.

Not considering Kirk Hinrich a top tier PG is a crime.

            Wow

Devin Harris might be as explosive as any of the young PG's and he's not even listed.....

Duhon should be at least thrid tier. He has vasty improved on his jumpshot and that is what's going to make him more of a threat.

Ok Delonte West should be on that list

                      My ranking:

                      1. Delonte West

                      ... (jk)

Dwayne Wade (not a pg though)
                      Chris Paul
                      TJ Ford
                      Shaun Livingston
                      Deron Williams
                      Kirk Hinrich
                      Sebastian Telfair
                      Ben Gordon (not a pg)
                      Delonte West
                      Chris Duhon
                      Boris Diaw (not a pg)
                      Luke Ridnour
                      Ray Felton
                      Jameer Nelson
                      Devin Harris
                      Nate Robinson (not a pg)
                      Daniel Ewing

(if you can't tell, I'm not a Devin Harris fan. kid hasn't shown me pg abilities or enough scoring to get by that way)

Which Devin Harris have you been watching the rookie Harris from last year or the Soph Harris who is blowing by fools every night?

This kid has been outstanding all year off the bench 12 ppg and 4 asp. He's even increased those #'s over the last 6 games to 16 and 7 and get's to the FT more than any PG on that list.

6.4 assists and he isn't even averaging 30 minutes a game. You can say I'm a homer, but you can't deny the kid is good and it was one of the best free agent bargains this year.

I think T.J. Ford is your typical PG... great passer, good stealer, good leader...

but I see Kirk Heinrich as the best and most productive of this crop...

He is a better stealer than Ford, averages the same amount of assists, although he commits less turnovers. He puts up around 14 points per game... the only difference is the Bulls are 2 games behind the Bucks.
