He is a Center, it is his job to be in that position. Nevertheless I think he is one of the top 50 greatest players of all time. I could be wrong but I think he also block at least one of Pipen's shot (maybe more) in Pippen's career. Players dunk on Ewing, and Ewing block a lot of players shot. It just so happen that blocking shots is not as spectacular as a dunk.

He should never had made that list IMO. I'll leave it at that.

Also check out Alonzo's block on Frye. It was also a spectacular in your face block.

No way. I'd have Pip there each and every day. Higher actually.

He ran the offense on that team AND was the best one on one defender I've seen AND gave them 18 a night.

You watch those series v the Knicks in the 80's and everyone remembers MJ's points...but watch them again and Pippens defense was just out of this world good. Blocks at the end of games to win them...smothering D on whoever got hot all series...

He was a great, great player.

And I say all this as someone who wanted to see those Bulls lose with a passion.

I'd bump him off the list for Dominique Wilkins.

Nique couldn't play D as well as Pippen.

I think Scottie just said that he'd pay to see Kobe play, but never offered any other support to him. I mean I don't like him or his attitude. But he's fun to watch.

A great honor for Scottie. One of the best defensive players ever.

And Pippen couldn't do anything else under the sun that Dominique could. Pippen was by no means a defensive stud.

Pippen is one of the most overrated players of all time IMHO.

You really need to watch games more closely and not just the dunks.

And yet he SHUT DOWN Magic in the '91 finals. Nique was a highlight real dunker, Pippen was a much more complete player.

                              Re: Pippens thoughts

Its one thing to dislike Pippen, but to question his credentials as an elite player strains credibility. Nique>Pippen at Dunking Creativity and FT Shooting and thats it.

James Worthy is a God to me, but if I was honest I would put Pippen higher than him on any list of great players. In my opinion only Bird was a better SF.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Put Pippen on the Hawks and see what he would've done.
