Re: Artest for Vince??
hard to see how the nets would improve if this went down.
on the other hand.. the pacers should make this trade in a heartbeat. -
Re: Artest for Vince??
JON would not put up with Vince's lack of toughness and over-exaggeration of petty, insignificant and minor injuries.Comment

Re: Artest for Vince??
Would actually make sense.
Gives Jersey the D they need AND someone who can play in the post...which they desperately need.
Gives Indianna a legit 'go to guy' behind J O'Neal...and keeps them at a championship level.
Rod Thorn is never afraid to make moves...maybe it has some legs?Comment

Re: Artest for Vince??
it would take pressure off VC since he doesn't want to be the leader of the team. JO would be the main guy and VC the 2nd option. Wait, that can't be, it's always VC as the main guy. Keep VC in NJ.Comment

Re: Artest for Vince??
NJ should not take this trade because this is a disadvantage to them. If they still have Kenyon, then Artest would be a good addition. Without a solid low post offense, NJ must make up that gap with thier strong backcourt offense. The speed of Vince and Jefferson compliment Kidd's style of game and bringing in a talent that is a probable dagger to the NJ franchise will really not help them at all.Comment

Re: Artest for Vince??
New Jersey needs to find a inside guy if they trade RJ or VC. Unless they plan to play small with Artest at PF (which isnt a half bad idea) I dont think NJ gets much better.Comment

Re: Artest for Vince??
As much as this makes sense, it makes let sense for Artest who DOES want to win games to play with Jason "the Bum" Kidd who as talented as anyone but could care less about winning. VC is lazy on def. but at least he try hard on off. unlike some people.... I feel they set up for disaster and this is nothing but the GM flaut. To me NY is in a better situition then NJ is. Artest is nutcase but he wants to win, but Kidd and Jefferson could care less, it's about stats to them.Comment
