KG commerical...
I like it. I find it funny for some reason though.Tags: None -
Re: KG commerical...
There has been no commercial funnier than the one a couple/few years back with Garnett in an interrogation room, TALKING TO HIMSELF. So stupid.I drive a 2005 Toyota Prius Gas/Electric Hybrid. My last tank was 53.6 miles/gallon. Gas prices fear me!
Oversimplification is the escape of men who want to avoid the duty demanded by true understanding. -
Re: KG commerical...
Ive always liked Kgs commercials, i still think the best one is where he has tons of people on his back and people are jumping off buildings and what not to get on it.Comment

Re: KG commerical...
It kind of puts reality into a new perspective. Kind of one of those commercials that make you think about how hard you're trying to be the best at your situation. He's a great player. Even when they were talking about KG last night along with Shaq and Tim Duncan on TNT, they were speaking about how they were basically the best at what they did for the last 10+ years. In my mind, I'm just thinking that whatever KG would have been inspired to do, he might have been "the best" at what that was. Homey was tall as heck though when he was in that army fatigue. Definitely would have been an easy target.Comment

I like the little kid part, makes me crack up because it looks like they pasted his face onto a little kid's body.Comment

Re: KG commerical...
Its confusing. Much like T-Mac vs the Lilliputians. What is the point?

-Leader (military guy shouting orders)
-Warrior (Gladiator)
-Kid (hence the knickname "The Kid")
-Comedian (teammates say he's supposedly a funny guy)
-Hero (Matrix-style character...KG does tons of community work)
Nice idea, but it could have been set up or explained a little better.Hank's Custom Collectibles 3D printer/painter extraordinaireComment

Especially for you guys, some of these reactions seem as though you are all 15 or about that age.
It's a touching commercial, especially the music in the backround, it makes the commercial cute (yes guys that are 35 like me can use that word and not be gay)
I like H McCoy's view on it, and here is mine, they are simply trying to say that you can be anything you strive to be. It's him imagining himself being all of those amazing guys in their respective situations.
All these "meh" attitudes kinda sadden me on todays youth (if you are older then I appolagize).Comment

Sorry, but I don't get the hidden symbolism in these things all the time.
And I fail to see how this stuff is supposed to make me buy sneakers. Or how sneakers can help me be what I want to be.Originally posted by VP Richard M. NixonI always remember that whatever I have done in the past, or may do in the future, Duke University is responsible one way or the other.

I really do not see commercials as "stuff to make me buy sneakers" any longer. I see them as I see movies or Films...entertainment.
It "entertained me" and was quite charming in the proscess.Comment

Re: KG commerical...
I like this commercial. No it definitely does not advertise the shoes directly... but it's really entertaining. And hey KG can act a billion times better than LBJ.
