Shouldnt they call then the Oakland Warriors. What If the NFL listed to the NBA and the Oakland raiders changed there man to the Golden State Raiders

The reason they're not called the Oakland Warriors is that they used to be known as the San Francisco Warriors. When the franchise moved across the Bay to Oakland they changed the name to Golden State (California) Warriors. By doing this they wouldn't alienate the fan base they have in San Francisco.

Yep he is right. They call them the Golde State Warriors because that is out state nickname.

Last I checked, the Giants and Jets both played in Jersey, so nobody's perfect.
