Re: Steve Francis or Ricky Davis?
Davis...This is not close at all. Ricky is a better player, shorter contract and doesn't have the volatile personality of a Steve Francis.Comment

Re: Steve Francis or Ricky Davis?
I'd pick Pretty Ricky anyday before the Franchise cause of where the heart is. Ricky got shipped off after Lebron makes an appearance to Cleveland. Then he gets shipped off again after he's making big splashes in Boston. And you know he's going to play his heart out still. Ricky by a million heartbeats.......Comment

Re: Steve Francis or Ricky Davis?
Why woudl Orlando accept Wally Szczerbiak and Trenton Hassell for Stevie? Hassell is one of those role players any team would love to have but what purpose is there to add Wally?
Orlando has Grant Hill and Hedo Turkoglu at the SF position already and the trade gives them no benefits either by getting younger, better or getting cap relief.
I doubt ORL woudl have done it anways, unless they were that desprite and I honestly cant see that.Comment

Correct me if I'm wrong, isn't Ricky Davis the guy who purposely attempted a shot at his own friggin' basket so he can collect a triple-double from his own rebound?
I've always thought that was one of the damndest thing I ever saw. It's the first time I ever saw a professional athlete play basketball like he would a videogame.Comment

Originally posted by dalesYes, that was him. Emphasis on was. He not like that anymore. The man was a first-class citizen in Boston and always did everything that was asked of him. Unfortunately he had to be included in the deal because Blount's contract is such a disaster.NBA 2K18 ratings for several seasons generated from advanced analytics using the SportsCrunch system:

Davis has matured over the last season and a half (after his last suspension) but most of his career he's been the very definition of malcontent. There's a reason he was shipped. Again.
I'd take Ricky also for defensive purposes, and since he had actually signed with Minny 3 years ago (Cavs matched) this may be a great fit for his talent...but they're both headcases.Hank's Custom Collectibles 3D printer/painter extraordinaireComment

Re: Steve Francis or Ricky Davis?
Originally posted by HMcCoyRicky Davis had heated exchanges with LeBron, openly fueded with Paul Silas not once but twice, shot at the wrong basket for a trip dub, made insensitive comments about the Cavs handicapped ownership (that he was made to retract by the Celtics), and cursed out Doc Rivers in a practice in front of a group of visiting children. Suspended at least twice for detrimental conduct. In his last game as a Cav, he blatantly disreguarded Silas' defensive call which led to a wide open gamewinner by Mike Miller. He also pouts about PT if he's not getting enough run.

Id probably still take him over Franchise, but if Stevie were to get his head on straight, him and KG would be a scary combo.Comment

Re: Steve Francis or Ricky Davis?
I'd take Stevie. On ability ALONE Stevie is one of the most talented guards in the league. The problem is he can't be a leader of a team he has to be second option for somebody.OS Madden league (360) Giants: 0-0
