Isiah Thomas wants to be the Bulls GM.

Or at least hes trying to be. I've just realized that the Knicks in the 2005/2006 season has aquired former Bulls:

    Bad Defense - Jamal Crawford
    Carelessness - Jalen Rose
Bad Defense and Lack of Rebounding - Eddie Curry

    And prior to the trade:

    Antonio Davis

Can somebody please tell Isiah Thomas that when those players were on the same team before, we ended up with a lottery pick.

Also, does anybody agree with me now that Isiah Thomas is a bad GM? I remember in the Eddy Curry thread, I was getting bashed because I stated that Thomas was a bad GM. Well look whos laughing now!

Yea, it seems as if NY and Chicago are locked into some type of deal that says they only deal with eachohter. Thomas is a *******. Good point about the reuinion of Curry, Rose and Crawford. All he needs now is that buster Eddie Robinson and aquire Marcus Fizer from Charlotte and we've got ourselfs the New York Bulls.

You had better watch out with comments like that. Isiah may see them and threaten to kick your *** like he did with Bill Simmons.

Man, never have I seen a HOFer become a bigger joke with his post-pro career career than Isiah Thomas. Even OJ was successful at what he did after he retired.
Overall satisfaction also makes the decline!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sad thing is he took all the bad players from Chitown and didn't get a single good one.

And I don't know anyone that thinks he's a good GM, he's terrible. I think in the Curry thread alot of people were praising the trade (I certainly wasn't one of them, I hate Curry) but not his overall GM skills.

Any team that has Marbury, Richardson, Rose and Crawford (some of the bigger gunners in the NBA) has a terrible front office.

The only thing in his post NBA career Thomas is good at is drafting. He's done a respectable job there. Maybe he should step down as GM and take a role in the scouting department.

Last time I checked the Bulls didn't get any good players back either. At least the guys the Knicks got are playing for them.

I wouldn't call Isiah a great GM or even good, but I wouldn't call him terrible either. The Curry trade from a talent standpoint really was a good trade by Isiah. Curry is a 22 year old beast that can put the ball in the basket. Isiah was banking on that Larry can teach him defense and rebounding. I think Larry even said that it was amazing how much Curry didn't know, refering to the Bulls coaching staff.

The rest of the deals he did were medicore, some good some bad, it will come down to this trading deadline and offseason to truly see what Isiah's legacy as the Knicks GM will be. He has said he wants to build around Curry and Frye, lets see if he sticks with that plan and what he does with Marbury and guys like Q-Rich and Jamal.

im probably the only nyk fan that supports isiah cause compared to layden he's great. Layden couldn't do anything right and definetly couldn't draft I have no clue why you would even try to get mcdyess for camby and nene.

Jeez. By the title of this thread, I really thought he said he wanted to be the GM of the Bulls to the media or something, and just laughed.

Have we all forgotten about Jordan and his stellar job in the Wizards front office? Drafting Kwame Brown with the first pick will be the star low lite of his short GM career. Not to say he's worst than Isiah BUT just as bad.
