How is having marbury or howard eisley from who i know isn't even on a starting team worst? the team layden had was old, and non athlletic

What place are they in? Last and sinking.

Hows the cap any more manageable than it was under Laden? Is it really going to be that much younger when they are done dealing the younger players for more garbage old contracts and band aid me first marginal stars?

Ok now they're a little more athletic, but they are still over-paid and old and mismatched.

Jerome James? Q? Jalen Rose? Malik Rose? Marbury who's teams have never won crap because he's a Me First NBAer? Now talk of Steve Francis (I'm a Maryland guy) and I even think its another bad chemistry experiment to put him w/ Rose and Marbury. Its an NBA 2k team. Not a real NBA team.

It looks pretty bad to me. Both Layden (with his albatross Houston contract and retread Jazz players) and Thomas stink...

I've been a Knick fan forever and Dolan is wasting his money. Thomas doesn't know what hes doing and he proves it with every head scratching move he makes. Think about what Jerry Colangelo could do with all that money.

I agree with him. This team is worst, with or without Curry. All of you Knick fans that thought bringing Curry, Q, and James would bring back a playoff appearance, are hallucinating. Please stop thinking as an optimist by saying bringing Stevie Franchise will get you more wins. Umm last time I checked, 2 teams didnt want Francis. One team even suspended him for his attitude (Orlando). What makes you think him going to the Knicks, where Brown teaches Defense first, will make him a better player?

Maybe Thomas really is playing 2k6 while thinking of these trades. Thats probably the most logical explanation.

Marbury was a great emotional pickup for the Knicks, but after that Zeke's focus should have been to hoard draft pics, and try to dump at least one bad contract per year. By now they'd be sitting pretty by playing to his strengths...drafting. Also, they'd have the luxury of building around their greatest asset by handpicking young players that compliment Steph, like the 6'ers did with A.I a few years back. Its called "rebuilding" lol...

Unfortunately, the NY market isn't exactly the best place for selling a 3 year plan to the fanbase, and with a new owner with money to burn, perhaps Zekes hands were tied. I doubt it, but you never know.

Zeke should also catch heat for the way he's handled the coaching...he's just a flat-out poor GM, IMO.

There are bigger names in NY now, but they don't mesh together at all. And none of them play a lick of defense or rebound save for Channing Frye who Zeke was talking about trading to Denver for Kenyon "I'm owed $60 mil and have no knees left" Martin.

The team had better individual players now, but there is zero chemistry on the team now.

The Knicks are in such bad shape that even Allan Houston's huge contract coming off the books won't help them. They have to rebuild NOW and Zeke doesn't seem to want to do that. But giving away a top 5 pick to the Bulls would probably kill the Knicks rebuilding. The only hope they have is Channing Frye and Larry Brow. They aren't going anywhere with Zeke being their gm. The team isn't making the playoffs....why is Isaiah interested in K-mart and Francis??? Makes no sense.

If you listen to Isiah he would tell you he is rebuilding. In fairness to him the Knicks are a very young team. I don't think you necessarily have to be under the cap to rebuild.

In a way they are but after hearing all these trade rumors about Kmart, Ruben Patterson and Franchise, I really don't think Isiah is trying to rebuild.

More like restocking and retooling. But he has said he is building around Frye and Curry so he has some form of a plan.
