    Hill goes after 'Pop'...

Not a lot of love between these two...

Hill has harbored a deep resentment toward Popovich, whom he believes unfairly terminated his employment and maligned his reputation in the NBA.

"I just know him too well," Hill said. "I know what he's like behind closed doors. I've been in lots and lots of meetings with him. The only way he can justify what he did was to create all this deception that I was some kind of ... monster. That I was hard to work with or whatever ... and they were all lies."

This is Bob Hill, the coach of the Sonics.

I'm pretty neutral on this one. Actually, I could care less.
It is pretty shifty what goes on behind closed doors in the NBA, though.

Sure, Bob, go after the coach of the defending champions. That'll go over well, especially when you're name is as generic and unknown as 'Bob Hill'.

You're not entitled to a coaching job in the NBA, Bob. You're LUCKY to have it. Move on, or move over.

How would you feel if you have seasons of 62-20 and 59-23, and then after David Robinson gets injured and your team tanks it, your GM fires you and takes the job himself.

Well, the Spurs had won 55 games the year before, and they didn't win the WCF once when this guy was the coach.

It's not like he turned the team around and made them into contenders. You can see now that his firing worked out for the better.

Having Tim Duncan and David Robinson, it's possible that Bob Hill could have been the one to win a championship.

Exactly. That was some low sh*t Pop did to Hill. And I'm not a fan of Hill.

Well it was pretty easy for Pop to turn it around when he got Duncan for free.

I thought it was harsh that Pop took over the coaching just as Robinson came back from injury though. (he then got injured again soon after).

Bob Hill was a good coach, I don't know what some of you people are talking about.

Pop has also done well in terms of making the team much better defensively. Before it was just a one man show too, so give Popovich credit for the personnel changes too.
