Re: Derek Anderson for Gerald Fitch
DA is as soft as wet tissue.
As far as the trade, its crap. Maybe his value was down, but im certain they could've got more than ANOTHER short combo guard and a trade exception.
Mike Wilks and cash got Cleveland Flip Murray. I wonder about HOU management sometimes.
If its not ex knick and ex magic players its crap you could've pulled from free agency. -
Re: Derek Anderson for Gerald Fitch
Great pickup for the heat if he can stay healthy. I heard Ira Winderman(Heat beatwriter) on the local radio on the way home. He said they basically got something for nothing in this deal. If he can get healthy this will allow him to backup D Wade and allow GP to play more backup point guard while reducing his minutes just a bit. Basically it will lower the burden on Wade and GP if it works out. I like the move if DA can get healthy, it gives them just a little more depth.Comment

Re: Derek Anderson for Gerald Fitch
I kind of liked Fitch. He reminded me of a Tony Parker type of player. Now, if he only could get more playing time, he might be able to do his thing. Of course, there was Gary and Jason playing ahead of him so he was bound to get the garbage minutes. Exactly what position does Luther Head play in Houston? I wonder if Fitch will be someone with great potential that we'll see grow in this league. Just have to wait and see.......Comment

Re: Derek Anderson for Gerald Fitch
He's proportionally taller than Parker. If he gets into a good program where they use him effeciently, he can be a good player. He has the speed and he seems like he's a great heart to any team he gets on. I can say that if he's in the right environment, he will flourish. He is in Houston though.......Comment
