True, Van Horn had the same injury and came back quicker than Carter now you can't say Van Horn is soft.And Allen Iverson has about 30 injurys affecting his body and still plays. Shaq has a toe injury still plays hard. Carter needs to do two things. Grow up and be a man.

The only nonesense is your idea of what makes you a grown man.
First off its strange how you try to judge a person's manhood by if they play through pain. Not every injury can be played through. Iverson stays nicked up with injuries but many of them are above the waist. Those injuries are less trouble than say knee or leg injuries. Its not always a good thing for a person to play hurt if it will hurt his performance and could also hurt him later in his career especially if he is the franchise player. Vince played hurt most of last year and people complained that he played soft and didn't attack to goal but he was hurt what do you expect him to do. So when he sits cause he is injured then people say he isn't a man or he is soft. If you look on every NBA roster I garuntee there are people sitting with lesser injuries. Its apart of the game and I sick of hearing people who couldn't play a minute professionally healthy and a 100 percent coomplain about a player's manhood cause they are sitting out for a injury. As tough as AI is he has not played 82 games and Shaq playing hurt is not the same cause a toe is way different from a knee. Not sure what you want from these dudes. You want them to play at their best but yet would want them to play hurt which will not be at their best. Make your mind up.

Carter is grown up and he is a man.
Becaue he's gonna take the 2 weeks off, and not do the mistake of playing through injury like he used to.
I'd rather have vince at 90 - 100%, than a constant 70%. Knee injuries, are alot more serious then wrist injuries, elbow injures, etc .. knee injuries, determine how well you run, how well you jump and the effectiveness of ur jump shot.
Dont tell vince to suck up this injury and play through this, that would be quite frankly the dumbest thing he can do.

They are making a wise move by keeping him out, with half the unit injuried that only places more responsibility on his shoulders which on a bad wheel increases the risk of a more serious injury. (Wasn't the original injury jumpers knee? That is a (possible) career ending injury). Vince fans, all these injuries sure make you think of a situation like Penny. Just hope he recovers fully so we can get back to watching him play again.

yeah vince have been soft! i think that does it for the athlete's who talk so much! like shaq when he said when he's back everything's ayt but it ain't happening! like michael vick who said that his best game of the season will come against the tampa bay bucs but what happened? it was one of his worst games of the season! and now vince proclaiming he will be better than mike! that's a no no ! the injury was because of his mouth i guess! maybe the lesson here action speaks louder than words!

I hate VC...never liked him..and to think...Toronto could have kept Jamison (which the origonally drafted) and made T-mac the star player.

actually my main opinion about VC he is not that good! he can't bring a team coz all he can do is dunk! man vince doesn't know how to play defense and playing defense is a key to become a superstar!

Wow you guys are very un-informed about Vince and the Raptors. I live in Toronto and follow the Raps very closely. Number 1 for the person who said the Raps didn't give T-mac a fair shot, you are an idiot. T-Mac wanted out and no one was going to stop him. He wanted to be close to home and that is why he left. Number 2 saying Vince should retire to save himself the embarassment is a joke. This guy has an injury to his knee. What the hell do you want him to do? make it magically better. Does this mean if you screw up your knee tomorrow then you are no longer a man. The Raptors have a lot invested in Vince and the team doctors are the one's who decide when Vince plays. Vince wanted to start playing way before he actually came back but the doctor's wouldn't let him.

Iverson misses 20 games a year and he's the toughest guy in the league. Shaq misses 10 games every year. Vince never had any significant injury through all of high school, college and first 2 years in the pro's. That's a total of 9 years injury free. I can't wait until Vince is 100% healthy and you idiot's have to eat your words when he's ripping the league apart again.
