Marbs returning to "his" style of play...

According to Newsday, Stephon Marbury has said in a published report yesterday that he plans to go back to playing like "Starbury," his description of the freelancing style he prefers.

Marbury, whose numbers are down this season, claims he's tried to play coach Larry Brown's style, which has resulted in only 17 wins in 61 attempts, and now it is time that he go back to playing his natural style.

"So what do I do now, as far as the way I play?" Marbury said in the interview. "I go back to playing like Stephon Marbury, aka 'Starbury.' I haven't been 'Starbury' this year. I've been some other dude this year ... When you watch the games, that's not Stephon Marbury."
Yeah, and Starbury worked really well before didn't it?

Wow, this man is clueless. I guess rebellion is his thing.

Look for him to be traded after the season.

        Worked better than this year.

He was actually playing really well last year before he made that ridiculous best PG in the league comment.

But yeah, I think he'll be traded after this season. He just can't mesh with Larry Brown's style, but I don't think that's all his fault. It's Brown's fault as well.

          Damn, Larry Brown!

I just dont think Marbury has the kind of discipline in him to conform to what LB wants. It may be hard, but also for his own good.

This does nothing for Steph but continue to stain his reputation.

This was the funniest thing I'd heard in a weeks. Way to go Stephon.

Before that comment everything was going good. The Knicks were over .500 he was playing like one of the best PG in the NBA. Since he said that everything has gone downhill.

Yeah, it seems almost like a karmic reaction. Marbury has a big mouth, and it got him into trouble. I think it's a combination of other PG's and teams getting fired up at his comments, and his own disbelief in that statement. I don't think he believes it though he did say it acting like he believed it. Maybe he has an inferiority complex.

I am continually changing my mind on Marbs.

I used to really dislike him...then I swung back to giving him another chance.

I don't know what to think anymore.

The bottom line though is he has THE worst record in the NBA for causing disharmony / falling out with team mates.

He wanted out of an ideal sitautation with KG due to jealousy.

He fell out with Van Horn in Jersey.

He went to the Suns...and they traded with the first moment there was tension between him and Amare and talk that Marbs was upset at the attention Amare was getting.

Goes to New York and Kurt Thomas wants to rip his head off all season.

Talk now that Q also wanted to do the same...

Falls out big time with LB...

I mean, there's a huge trend here with this guy.

People say 'trade him'...but where? NO ONE is going to take on his attitude and contract. He's up for 15-20 Mill the next few years.

This is going to get even uglier next season.

I just do wht my coach asks of me He tells me to bring the ball up court pass and stand there...I do it...he tells me not to dribble so much...I do it...BUT...if I feel the game is slippin away and I have to take control...or nobody else is steppin up/producing...I do wht my I have to do to get my TEAM the W...no matter.....If I only score 4 points and we win...we win....but if I score 4 and we lose...I blame myself...

Stephon jus needs to get his head out of his rear and play...altho his production could be down due to lack of offensive creativity...but its not like they won 50 games last year anyway...Larry Brown should just bench him

Would you rather have success or respect?

At this point in time the Knicks have a better chance of trading Allan Houston than Moronbury. How Isiah has kept his job up to this point is mind boggling.
