Devean George wtf?

Could someone please tell me why the Lakers keep Devean George on their roster. The lakers have traded Chucky Atkins, Caron Butler, Kareem Rush, and Lindsey Hunter and yet they continue to keep this guy. Don't get me wrong the guy can jump and can hit a 3 every now and then but his mental mistakes are killing the lakers. I watched the Lakers/Cleveland game on Sunday and the Lakers were in complete control, in comes Devean George and Cleveland gets right back in it. I know he has been injured, but even when healthy he can't handle the ball, has an inconsistant jumper, and fouls way too much. I know the Lakers have alot of problems but does anyone notice how bad this guy has been since they drafted him?

well i dunno, he brings energy and plays decent defense. but i guess they keep him cause hes a decent player and his contract ends after this season. i havent really seen him play really lately

He usually plays decent defense to me. He's a good hustler sometimes too. Isn't he like on eof the only players left from the Shaq era? Maybe they have a soft spot in their heart for him. Honestly, I don't know if he'll get another contract. Thing is, they traded a lot of good players off that team. Kareem Rush and Caron Butler are both lighting it up.

do u watch alot of laker game?

imo hes a good roleplayer.nothing more nothing less.

he hustles , can grab boards, plays good defense , is a streaky shooter though but he and kobe are the only ones on the team that know the triangle offense well.
