Just stay out for the rest of the season. You are one of my favorite players to watch and i dont want to see your carreer ended because of a stupid decision.

Better in the long run. Get healthy big man and come back strong next season.

No need to kill those knees early.

Bringing him back was a really dumb idea.

              I'd have to agree.

agreed... however if anything, if it would help the Suns make a decent run in the playoffs, just play the dude around 8 to 12 minutes a game to bring a different type of flow to the floor just to hassle the defense a little...

I mean it would be a minor inconvenience for defenses.... but it still is an INCONVENIENCE...

There's a (sad) chance we may never see that guy be anywhere near the player he could have been...

That injury is much worse than people realise.

                  Look at Dice and Penny...

I think it's almost a given that Amare will never be the athlete he was.

This is the way Amare should have played it from the beginning, but guys, you better watch out for next year. And hey, it's not like we suck without Amare. Get Kurt Thomas back and we're good to go for the playoffs.

He's 23, the other stars that suffered those microfractures were in their 30's. And ex Sun PG Jason Kidd seems to have recovered just fine from that. Why not amare?

Dice was mid 20's when he went down...

He is the most relevant guy to Amare as his game was similar. People forget Dice was a beast.

Amare's game is completely different to Kidds...Kidd doesn't rely on sheer athletic power to dominate.

I hope I'm wrong but Dice pre and post injury...he was never the same

It's too early to tell what will happen with Amare, but it's stupid to rush him back. He should be resting and rehabbing.

Kidd doesn't dunk. Amare needs that explosiveness much more than Kidd does. Kidd is more of a floor general who sets up people and stuff. Plus I think that Penny was young too. Ironically though, Dice has fully recovered from it cause he's doing big things in Detroit. Only thing is that they aren't using him as much as they could since Rasheed is primary at that position. Amare will be good though cause he seems to be very dedicated to this game like so many greats. He has that desire. You see it everytime he stepped on the court previous years.

Dice has not fully recovered. He can jump a little, but he's not even close to the athlete he used to be.
