Sonic fans, say bye bye to Mr R.Lewis!

TSN radio reported that Rashard lewis visited w/ the Mavs on Wed. Also reports state that he is angered @ the way the Sonics have been handling his contract negoaitions & the chances of his signing elsewhere is very high.

I'd say he would look nice in a Spurs Uniform!

it's all a negotiating ploy. if he went to dallas he'd never see the ball, sonics will make a better offer, cuz they have the most room to do it, but if they don't, he'll sign with the rockets for the mid-level exception since he's said the past couple years that's where he wants to be, in his hometown.

Rashard going somewhere else is about 40% or so. I really think that the sonics should offer about 72 million or so and if he takes it fine if not use that money on kidd and another big time player. All i can say is that if we bring him back and pay him this much he better start ringing in all star apperances every season.

Other than Dallas, I think this is the only team that he might sign with. If he doesn't, then I see him somewhere else. Where? I don't know.

honestly i don't think hes going anywhere. I think this is just a way to boost his value so he can get his 80 million. Thankfully thats the way the sonics are looking at it. Its not surprising that hes trying this stuff because he was saying that he wanted the max early in the year comparing him self to kobe bryant. I think he has the pontential to become a all nba player but he should prove him self first. I mean he wants the max now and in 7 years hes going to want the max again when hes 29. I'm sorry rashard but your about 2-3 years behind kobe bryants pace. I really like some of the sonics moves and I think that as long as we can ink rashard in a few years we could be competing with the TOP of the league. Come on he'll be the 4th or 5th option on the mavericks he'll take a HUGE paycut. If they get him it will suck but if he really wants that much money screw him. We just got vinnys contract off we don't need another bloated salary.

You know what makes me sick though thinking about it. The Rockets drafted Bryce Drew instead of Rashard Lewis. The Rockets passed on the local high school phenom for Drew. Of course hindsight is 20/20.

They also drafted Michael Dickerson with their other 1st round pick that year, whom they later traded to the Grizzlies along with other considerations for Steve Francis. Houston did find a gem in round 2 though that year in Cuttino Mobley, so I guess I can let it go.

Maybe the Rockets will be able to correct a past wrong by signing Rashard this offseason. We'll see.

I'm glad I was right. He really has stepped up since the trade. Look for him and Ray Allen to be all stars next year. Great deal, 60 million for 7 years with incentives.

The funny thing about the Rockets passing on Rashard is they TOLD him that they were going to take him. Then they screw him over and the Sonics snatch him in the 2nd round.
