Yet Arenas has a wide open shot to win the game. Refs dont decide games, the players do and this was another game the players decided it. There are a 10-15 calls / game that could have gone either way. When there is an overwhleming amount missed or go against one team, I can understand the "ref" argument, but blaming one call on the refs is making excuses.Comment

And the foul call on Varejao that sent Arenas to the line was an obvious flop, even mentioned by the announcers saying "he learned it from Allen Iverson". They weren't even going to call it until the ball rolled out of bounds.
You can what if all you want about games, it doesn't change the outcome of them. And you say the refs are horrible, because your team lost. I say the refs are horrible because they missed a lot of no-calls but my team still won.
In all reality, I think the refs did a pretty decent job of officiating tonight. It was a heck of a game and is turning into a heck of a series.Twitter - WTF_OS

You keep saying if. How about this? If Arenas didn't miss that shot, Wizards would've won. Stop blaming the travel, it wasn't the only misref'd play in the game. Go on and update the series record in your sig.Originally posted by Havok410If that BLATANT travel is called then you wouldn't be saying this. You would probably still be lurking....

The Varejao call at the end? That was an obvious blocking foul....there was a ton of contact and there's no way that it could've been called a charge because Varejao's feet were moving.Originally posted by WTFAnd the foul call on Varejao that sent Arenas to the line was an obvious flop, even mentioned by the announcers saying "he learned it from Allen Iverson". Also, I never said that the refs were horrible...that was actually my point....the refs weren't bad at all...most of the calls before the travel were questionable and could've gone either way but the travel was really, really obvious compared to the other calls.
Even if the Wizards won (and they probably should've.....Gilbert missed a WIDEOPEN shot and ruffin was in the game at the end instead of Haywood) i would've made a comment about the horrible call.Comment

I'm not bitter just pissed at the outcome....just like you probably were at the end of game 2....well on the other hand maybe not because you didn't lose on a terrible call and a wide open missed 3 pointer.Originally posted by HotSauce2k3And my lurking has all to do with it. It could have been a no call, or it could have been a charge as Arenas initiated contact with his forearm and flopped to the ground. The Ilgauskas shot in the 4th quarter that was "blocked" should have been goaltending. The "offensive basket interference" in the first quarter should have been called, it was not questionable. It was still on the cylinder. The fact remains, it doesn't matter.
In game 2, there were quite a few no calls on the Wizards and I thought it was a poorly officiated game. Cavs lost. Lebron had a horrible game, but the refs missed a lot of calls. It's a part of the game.
Once again, it doesn't matter now. There were probably a bundle of calls that were blown that could have changed the outcome of this particular game. But they didn't. I thought there were some blown calls, some bad calls... but just like in game two, it all comes down to the players.
Arenas makes the shot, nobody cares. Then Cav fans would be whining about the basket interference in the first half. In a tight game, nobody is going to go home happy.Twitter - WTF_OS

I don't know about that. Two different scenarios there. Jared Jeffries played pretty much perfect defense on Lebron only for Lebron to get bailed out by a no call. Don't get me wrong--it was an amazing play and display of strength and athleticism by 'Bron, but still it was a pretty blatant travel on a shot that actually won the game opposed to any tick tack foul down the stretch.Originally posted by WTFIt could have been a no call, or it could have been a charge as Arenas initiated contact with his forearm and flopped to the ground. Again tho, if Arenas makes that shot it doesn't matter. Refs didn't lose that game for Washington.-Rocky Balboa"Maybe I can't win. But to beat me, he's going to have to kill me.
