    re: LeBron can shoot!

I've seen LeBron play 3 times now and 2 out of the 3 he was hitting his jumpshot. At state he had 4 three's in the first half and some of them were from NBA range. He was 2 of 6 from 3 land the other night so I don't know how that implies he can't shoot if he would have made one more he would have been 3 for 6 or if he wouldn't have shot that one airball he would have been 2 for 5.

Kobe Bryant can shoot 10 for 25.
    T Mac can shoot 10 for 25.

Hell one game in the preseason Kobe was something like 8 for 30 something.

    NEWS FLASH!!!!
Sometimes people have off nights, no matter what level they are on or the level of competition they are playing.

ALl HS players, College or NBA bound seem to be good shooters.

    Its because of their competion.

If people say he cant shoot now, he's gonna have a big challenge to try to make his shots in the NBA.

The only people that say he can't shoot have only seen him play once.

Developing a jumpshot is one thing with work that you can improve. MJ did not have a good jumper coming into the league but he worked on it and the rest was beautiful history. If Lebron practices and stays focused he can develop a goood "J".

Yeah MJ couldnt shoot but he averaged 28 ppg and shot 51 percent from the field in his rookie season. Please...

BTW, did you attend FSU or something? I dont know of any FSU fans in Illinois.

From what I've seen of him, I would be more concerned with his defense than his shooting right now. His mechanics on his shot are good(not perfect), but he can really catch fire at times. On D though, it seemed he didn't get back all the time, wasn't that good on the perimeter when they challenged him. I'm sure he can pick it up with more time, but right now its a weakness of his.

lol. And yeah, if you would have missed 4 less, he would have been 2 for 2, and that would have to be some sort of record. Surely no high schooler has shot 100% for a career. Oh yeah, you'd have to erase all his other misses, too. But 100% after that! Woot woot!

                Re: re: LeBron can shoot!

Look out that window.......there are thousands upon thousands of high school players that can shoot.

The hype around this guy is ridiculous.

He might be Kobe. He might be Bob McGillicutty. Who knows?

Thank you Erod, everybody wants to be a scout nowadays.
If you watch any highschool game, its always gonna be a player that has game and people think Lebron is Jesus(that dumb Ray Allen Movie)

Well, MJ's jumper was not his main source of scoring his rookie year. He did most of his damage at or around the basket. Being a lifelong Chicago Bulls fan and resident of Chicago allows me to remember that quite vividly.

As for me being a fan of FSU, I started digging the Noles when Primetime was there and a love affair ensued. When i don't travel to FSU games I go to Hi Tops bar which is directly across from Wrigley Field to watch their games. FSU Alumni(Windy City Noles) in Chicago designated that spot to watch the games.

I've only seen Lebron play once, which was when he didn't shoot well, but it wasn't just bad shooting, it was bad form! I think he'll be a great player, but he's going to need to put some serious work into his jump shot. I imagine if he works hard he'll be a good shooter in just a few years. It's not surprising he didn't focus on a jump shot when he could basically dunk at will so let's just give him time.
