TMac out!
TMac isn't playing in tonights game against Phoenix, anyone heard how long he's gonna be out? I know he aggrivated his back injury last night when Kobe "accidently" layed an elbow right in the middle of his back after he had scored 21 points in 24 minutes(or 24 in 21, i don't remember).......at least we have Pat Garrity to pick up the slack(21 so far tonight) and Jerryl Sasser, getting(I believe) his first start and playing the game of his career, 14 points and 8 boards, one double digit game in 1 1/4 seasons is pretty good for a first round pick, right?Tags: None -
Re: TMac out!
Watch out! Sasser grabbed a couple more rebounds, getting his first career double double while completely shattering his career highs of 8 points and 5 rebounds! Wow, that 2001 draft was looking pretty dissappointing, Sasser and Hunter being complete 1st round busts and all, but now it looks like it was all worth it! Passing on Jamaal Tinsley, BRILLIANT! -

Are you sure he "accidentally" did it. You know Kobe has "accidentally" busted Mike Bibby's nose with an elbow like he's taking pages out of Karl Malone's book.Comment

Re: TMac out!
damn, u guys must seriously be jealous of kobe, the lakers get a win, and u start saying kobe intentionally hit mcGrady. if u havn't noticed basketball is a game of inuries where accidents to happen. i don't even think it was kobe, cuz mcgrady jumped and it looked like either shaq or samake (if he was in the game) hit himComment

It was Kobe, they pointed it out on Sportscenter, and Kobe was coming down from a jump and could have very easily pull his arms up in the air or gotten them out of the way, he dropped his elbow right in his back. I'm not jelous of Kobe, he's at least as good as McGrady and he's got 3 rings, so I can't make much of an arguement that TMac is better than Kobe, but that doesn't mean I would want the Magic to trade TMac for Kobe.......and the entire league knows TMac has a bad back and that he has been the entire team the last two years, he gets bumped all the time just from teams realizing it is hurting him, it's the way the game is played, it's just that nobody has straight up dropped an elbow in his back until Kobe. It's a physical game, I'm not mad at Kobe or anything, but saying it was a total accident is probably a stretch....Comment

Hey man. I wasn't the one that said he elbowed Mcgrady. I asked was it really an accident. I was actually being sarcastic
but at the same time, it isn't the first time this guy has done this to a teams star player. I don't have to be jealous of Kobe to notice this. As far as Shaq hitting people, he has a record. Greg Ostertag, Brad Miller, referees, Devean George, rookie Kobe, etc...Comment

I think it was more than "an accident"
I'm not being jealous of Kobe or whatever, I'm not hating on him, he has 3 rings, he's awesome, but this WAS NOT an accident.Comment

Re: TMac out!
Called competitive advantage. You exploit your competition's weakness for an advantage.
Football: Running back has bad shoulder, you go for a nice pop on the shoulder in an attempt to create a turnover. A receiver goes across the middle and the safety plants a nasty shot.
Basketball: Guy has a bad wheel, you push him on that bad wheel. Guy has a bad back, you put your forearm in the middle of his back. Gets their head out of the game. The mental part of the game.
I like T-Mac and Kobe and really looked forward to their matchup. However, I don't think Kobe's "shot" was a cheap one. It took place in the flow of the game after a shot. Could he avoided contact, possibly. But why? Just because he knows T-Mac has a bad back. No reason in my book.Comment

I think we realize is wasn't cheap, but it was intentional.
Most shots to an injured player that is intentional, are 99.9% cheap shots. He knew what he was doing, and for a lack of beter words, behind T-mac's back.Comment
