Same here, thats why he'll make for some good trade bait this offseason. Deng and Noch are where its at. Everybody in here has expressed the same feeling I have about the original poster's comments. Gordon and Wade aren't close. Gordon has game, dont get me wrong but he relies on the jumper to much. More times than often it falls but every once in a while....

Maybe if Gordan attacked the rim more, but this one is easily Wade's.

Gordon does attack the rim often, he thinks jumper first however.

Gordan's peak is Chauncey Billups with less playmaking ability...

As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

The only way the Bulls would trade Gordon is if they were to aquire KG.

there is no way that wade = gordon. Wade can score, pass, rebound, defend. Gordon can only shoot

No way. Vinnie could not create his own shot like Ben can.

More like Ben Gordon = Ray Allen.....in a few years.

ben gordon is a great sparkplug.. but dwade is better period and is a potential hall of famer.
These types of comments irk me.

You cannot call someone a potential hall of famer just because he's good. He has not done anything right now that will warrant him a Hall of Fame nod. Oh sure, he is definatly a great basketball player and teammate, but so is Ben Gordan. However, right now Dwayne Wade is far better than Gordan yet neither warrant any type of "Hall of Fame" mention yet. Hell, if you really think about it, just about any player that makes it to the NBA has "Hall of Fame" potential, but it's what that player does with their career that puts him there. Dwayne Wade, if he continues to elevate his game like he has done, will definatly be in the Hall of Fame. Right now, no.

As for the original post: Nuh-uh. Ben Gordan is spectacular yet he is inconsistently spectacular. Ben Gordan is by far my favorite Chicago Bulls player right now followed by Kirk Hinrich, Andres Nocioni, Luol Deng, Chris Duhon and even furthur down the line, Tyson Chandler. Looking at the way these Bulls play together, it appears they make each other better. Only problem is they are inconsistent. They are definatly young and will definatly get better. They seriously need a big man up front to pair with Sweetney. That means we need to get rid of Tyson Chandler, the only basketball player that will go up for a rebound only to swat the ball out of bounds as if he intended to block the shot. He can't do anything but swat rebounds out of bounds and dunk. Shaq has owned him everytime they've played against him.

Dwayne Wade was Dwayne Wade before Shaq Deisel got there. He's elevated his game every year he's been in the league which hasn't been long. He can penetrate to the basket almost at will, whereas Gordan thumped even by Dwayne Wade. His skill for penetrating the lanes allows him to dump the ball back outside to Jason Williams or anyone else. He has a beautiful ally-oop in which Shaq takes care of it for him. Dwayne Wade is well on his way to a Hall of Fame career. So is Ben Gordan, but only if he elevates his game. Right now, he's a very dangerous shooter and dribbler. Other than that, not much else can really be said about his game.

I don't know if its fair to compare the two as long as D-Wade has Shaq. Wade and Gordan's rookie stats are comparable(pre-Shaq). Once you added the Diesel in the equation everyone on the Heat is automatically better. Nash, Duncan, Shaq and I think Lebron is getting there...have this quality. Comparing on straight talent, I believe that the two are very similar but just have different mindsets. Dwayne chooses to drive while Gordan looks to shoot. Gordan can slash but just has a shooters mentality. If both look to expand their game, we should have our new set of stars...Right now howeveer...nod to D-Wade.
