Should i get NBA 2k3?

I just got NCAA hoops 2k3 and i'm loving it.But i still was planning on getting NBA 2k3 ,now i'm not sure.If i get it, it means one of those games(NBA 2k3) might eventually be under my bed and i don't want that to happen.So is it worth getting it and if is it good enough that i can still play both Hoops games and not get bored?

I'd say, dont get it.

It's basically in a short phrasizacle term, "a mirror image of NCAA2k3".


If you've got the money and you really think you have time for two great titles, get it. BUt if you're struggling with your time and just love the game NCAA is, stick with it strong and play the hell out of it.

Get NBA 2K3, if you like CB2K3, you'll love NBA 2K3. There are some things NBA 2K3 does better than CB2K3, and vice versa. Mainly NBA feels like a much smoother game, the graphics definitely seem to be better, it's a incredible game.

I really do like NCAA but i also like the nba game.I think i might just play ncaa for a few weeks and then see if i should get it or not...

I'm currently renting it and having a blast. However, I haven't played NCAA 2k3 yet so I can't compare. I'd suggest you rent it and compare the two side by side.

go to GAMESTOP and rent it. try it over the weekend and X-Mas break. if you 're diggin' it, it's yours. if not return it. that simply. i love the presentation of 2k3, and the game play can get pretty good if you tool around witth the settings. ID2003 is the best right outta the box....

like someone above said if you have time to play more than one game its definitely the best pro game of bball out there in my opinion. ive played live (little too arcade like for me) but not ID. im the kinda person who will play games in spurts. i played ncaa football for like 3 1/2 months at the expense of every other game till i got NBA 2k3 then i played that for a month before ncaa football sucked me back in (my favorite game in a long long time) but i havent picked up nba 2k3 since i got ncaa cb 2k3. we'll see if ncaa cb 2k3 can replace ncaa football as my favorite.

Bottom line is if you have the time and the money then you cant go wrong with NBA 2k3. the EB's ive been in have had used copies of nba 2k3 as low as 34.99 which is a plus.

Going on my own and a lot of people's reaction, I'd advise you the following way.

After 1 day you will think this is the greatest game ever. I couldn't stop grinning for 24 hours.

After a few days, you'll start to see pretty bad flaws and a
LOT of bugs.

After a week you'll start to notice the AI is making a tonne of errors and thinking "hmmmmm...I have won 90% of my games and I still don't know the controls that well...bit of a concern"

After two weeks, you'll be frustrated as hell with the crap AI and winning most games whilst not even trying.

I gave up after three weeks.

The atmosphere draws me back for the odd game, but I soon lose interest. The AI is terrible...and that makes it hard to play a season of a sports title IMO.

thanks monkey i've officially deceided not to get the game.I just got NCAA Hoops which costed me 150$(don't ask why)and i'm having lots of fun and it is very challenging.

Well first off my dad doesnt like using credit cards so he said that he'll pay cash for me.Since i live in Canada i have to convert Canadian money into American. so if a game is 49.99$ american, i would have to pay about 77 $ canadian.

Then theres shipping and handling.The S &amp; H costs 16.99 american so i have to convert that into canadian money. so that would cost about 27 $..Then i have to buy the stamps,buy the money order check the enveloppe(no biggie).

Finally when the Fed Ex guy comes he says i have to pay a 20$ fee to get my package.So all comes up to about 120-125(if my math is good)

I had to order it from the USA cause it won't come in Canada..
