That seems to be what most Raptor fans want. I really don't like this draft in terms of having the number 1 pick. There's no clear cut number 1 like in the past 3 drafts. I wouldn't mind if we trade the pick to be honest.

Since Bryan Colangelo took over as GM for the Raps, I don't think you guys have anything to worry about any more. He's a solid GM with proven skills in building a team. He'll take that franchise back to the playoffs. And with the talent that is already there, they could be contending really soon.

As for the coach, Colangelo will probably let him try to have a go at it this coming season. But if things aren't going where they're supposed to be by Jan/Feb '07, he might drop him. Tho, if it were me, and there was a good coach out there right now I could pick up, I would.

The Raptors should trade down, and try to get either Brandon Roy or Marcus Williams.

            Take Lamarcus Aldridge.

I'm a Raps fan and as optimistic as the next guy, but just adding Aldridge to the 3 guys you mentioned won't turn us from a sub 30 win team into a playoff one.

More has to happen via trades and free agency in order for me to believe that they can contend. But, with BC at the reigns, that could very well happen.

Y would they trade down? That makes 0 sense...they can pick anyone they want with that number 1 pick...including Roy or Williams (hehe) Tradin down puts them in jeoporady of losing them...if they wanted them...

You can gain assets by trading down.

The Bulls are definitely not taking a guy like Brandon Roy.

Trading down and looking at foye, marcus williams or roy would be ideal...and then Nazr Mohammed is a Free agent...and we can snatch him up to play some minutes at the 5 for us..

I go after Joel Pryzbilla or Nene than Mohammed.

If TOR doesnt go the LA-route.

I think I'd rather have the Bulls 2 picks than Aldridge because that's who the Bulls would draft with #1. If the Raps decide they don't want Aldridge there's no reason to keep that pick, might as well get something for it. Could be danger in trading it to say the Hawks but there'd be no problem trading it to the Bulls. The other thing they could do is draft Aldridge and decide if they want to trade him after seeing who the Bulls picked.
