Although he stated this in the article, im not surprised a Wiz fan would ignore it.

I also find it funny he'd say that after the Bobcats tried to hire him as soon as they started the franchise, and on top of that, Magic wants MJ to be a part owner with him.

I guess its easier to ignore facts

If you didn't know that from the start, all your arguments are invalid.

And yes, being an Owner is different from being a GM.

As a sole owner, you can start pulling strings of your own team like Cuban and that Oakland Raider team owner. Unless you have a lot of partners, you cannot decide something on your own without approval from your dudes. Kind of like what happen to that guy in ATL who disagree with the JJ trade. As a GM you can still pretty much call your own shots, but with a dog leash from the owner. Unless the owner leave everything to you to run the franchise. I think that pretty much generalized the idea between the two. Of course with some technicality, I could be wrong.

LOL, that post was so captain obvious it didnt deserve a response.

Anyhow, The Bobcats wanted MJ to be the GM.

Magic said he wants to be the owner along with MJ, but would let him run the operations so, I see interest out there, but then again to some he's so horrible that they're blind to the fact he helped the team get up from the wine cellar at least.

what strings has Cuban pulled? He 100% defers to Don and Donnie Nelson and Avery. The only decision he made the final call on was Nash.

...add the fact that i'm sure he learned a lot from his Wiz experience. It was his first time with the gig. He did a much better job than Isiah Thomas...lol.

Isaiah...lol, man we all can do a better job than that. Im not sure Zeke has any direction. Its that or Dolan just tells him to pay the money, and make trades to get names so people can talk about NY no matter what.

Great read. I often say I feel fortunate that I got to see one of the greatest athletes of all time play. I came into sports a little late for Magic, Bird, Montana, and Peyton, but I got to soak up all of MJ's greatness.

Maybe using the words "pulling your own strings" is wrong. I should used the word, influence instead. Isn't Cuban also the one who attempted to negotiate (giving LAL a call) for a possible deal that would bring Shaq in DAL that only lasted in (maybe less than) 15 minutes ? I don't think he needs to talk to Nelson or Avery for that decision. Maybe he did to show respect to his top administrative (which is also the right thing to do), but he doesn't have to. Anyway, the Shaq and Nash negotiations are the only once I know where Cuban was personally involve. Everything else, might have come from his GM.

Yes, but recently he has admitted when he was trying to get shaq, he knew that there was less than zero chance that the Lakers would trade Shaq to us. He basically was just throwing it out there. Also, to get Shaq would've required them to trade Dirk to L.A. Cuban wouldn't make that decision alone.
