Raps to swap picks with Bobcats?

Raps 1st round pick + Alvin Williams for the Bobcats 1st round pick (3rd overall) + Brevin Knight + Cap Filler

That's a pretty tempting deal from a Raps perspective.

Unless the Raps are absolutely in love with someone then that might not be a bad deal.

BC was on TV before the game last night and the way he spoke it sounds like a deal like this is what the Raps are looking to do.

wait, why is this such a good deal, how good is Brevin Knight? or is it the fact that we get rid of alvin?

Brevin Knight has been 2nd in assists league-wide for the last 2 years I believe. He's a VERY good PG.

He's also a veteran and that's something the Raptors need badly. I'd much rather have him running the floor then Mike James.

ya, i figured it was that, but at the same time i was still a bit skeptical only becuase he did that on a team that really wasnt known or didnt matter.

Basically he said the Raps don't really have a player they're focusing on. They will be looking at best player available because the team was so poor last year. Also said the Raptors are open to anything that will improve the team even if it means trading the pick.

Basically the Raptors have no set plan and are playing it by ear is what I get from him.

All he can do is pass. He is undersized, doesn't have great speed, defense is subpar, and he has no scoring ability at all.

He is a great player to have coming off the bench.

No thanks, they should be able to do better. Alvin should just do the team a favor and retire anyway.

I think Toronto is selling themselves short if thats all they can get.

I'm not sold on Knights assists numbers.

                              Why not?

Plus, he also has a decent mid-range jumpshot that he hits consistently.
