I haven't seen too much of Earl Barron but I think Dorrell Wright will be a star if Riley ever plays him. I think he can be the Pippen to Wade's Jordan.

Dorrell Wright has a ton of potential but saying he can be like Pippen is jumping the gun a bit but I hope your right. I hope he gets some real minutes next season.

i'm not trashing wright, but from last summer league in Long Beach the star of the heat's team was barron. nobody could stop him. if wright couldn't standout in that kind of competition i wouldn't put any bets down that he's going to be a star. of course i am taking into account that it was just the summer league.

Your right about Barron, everything I read said that he was ripping it up in last years summer league. If Zo doesn't come back he should get some minutes now and then next season. I don't know about Wright ever becoming a star, I'm just hoping he can become a solid contributing member to the team.

Re: Miami locks Wade up with 5 Year Extension

I dont think Wade is really caring about the money. I mean he does, everyone does but I dont think he cares like some people in pro sports do. Example, I think if the Heat offered him 6 years at 80 Million and a chance to get a couple more rings before the team has to hunt for fresh talent VS a team with no chance in 6 years of going anywhere offereing him 100 million.. I think Wade takes the 80 million. Part of getting the biggest contracct you can get has to do with ego with some players as well. This deal is a Win/Win for the Heat. On top of that Miami loves him, right now he is the 'IT" guy. Even over Kobe and Lebron right now. Sure that will fluctuate between the 3 of them but right now he's the top dog and he put on one of the best playoff performances in NBA history. If I'm Wade, I thinking Im young, I look good, im already married with a kid so im not out booty chasin trying to live the bling lifestye....Ill take 80 million and stay the hero of Miami.

I have this feeling that by the time Shaq retires, a couple years after that when the heat might be getting lottery picks, I think once again it's going to be the time of the TRUE college big man going pro. We dont have really big men like we used to coming out of college. Being 7 feet tall and 220lbs and playing like a guard or small forward to me isnt really a "big man" IMO the last tru BIG MAN to play like the lable thats put on him is Dwight Howard.
