Hate the move. I'm just going to throw my hands up on this one. Detroit isn't a contender next year by losing Ben, they don't have Darko, they are just as handcuffed as ever cap wise moving forward, and they still won't have the minutes to develop Maxiell or Amir Johnson. It's a lose, lose, lose, lose. For what? A chance to win 50 games and get smoked in the second round if they are lucky enough to get out of the first round. Good luck trying to win games with a jumpshooting team who's below average defensively.
Well...with the NBA going down the toilet with the Superstar rules, I guess it won't matter. Hopefully there's enough backlash that by 2007 we are back to playing regular basketball. In the meantime hopefully Dumars finds some gems in the 2007 draft with both his 1st round picks. Hopefully someone wants to trade for Nazr next offseason. In the meantime this has been the worst Pistons offseason in a long time.Comment

Re: Pistons add Mohammed to try to fill Wallace's void
I personally think that Ben isn't worth $50 mil just to play 1 side of the floor. His defense helped them tremendously, but his ft shooting killed them more than his defense helped. Nazr will at least help them in that department, plus he to brings alot of playoff experience.
The most important thing for the Pistons is depth. They have next to none. I can't believed they tried to run Tony Delk and Dale Davis out there in the ECF...what a joke lol.Comment

Solid signing but huge downgrade. Narz isnt much better offensively than Ben Wallace. I really dont see the Pistons running many plays for him with Billups, Rip, Prince, Wallace and McDyess on the team and better scoring options. Sure he can score 1v1 but going into him is something the opponent will gladly allow.Comment
