Re: Iverson Officially "Off The Table"
we will see..but I don't see them making a lot of buzz in the east with the group they have right now..unless Igoudala has a breakout season
staying with Iverson is good for the Sixers, but not for him as a player
I'd prefer him to start someplace else and prove the haters wrongNBA -
Re: Iverson Officially "Off The Table"
I agree. The Sixers still have no defense and no rebounding so they won't compete with the best. Which makes it even more surprising they didn't at least make a trade to change something, somewhere.
Billy King hasn't got a clue. I don't understand how he's stayed in the job for as long as he has.
And Iverson deserves better.Comment

Re: Iverson Officially "Off The Table"
Great. With Iverson, unfortunately, this team is just good enough to make the playoffs every year. Which means they'll flatline, unable to draft good players and blown out of the first round, every year until he retires. I love AI, but King has screwed things up so much that his only option to improve the team at all within the next 5-7 years is to trade him now. And he can't even get that right.Helen: Everyone's special, Dash.

Re: Iverson Officially "Off The Table"
The reason teams arent giving up the whole team for a player is simple. They want to win. Trading away just as much talent as you give out isnt going to make the team better, its just going to make the new team that gets the star the same team that the star was on before.
Rarely will you see a star get traded for equal talent. Look at what Orlando got for Tracy McGrady, a much younger player - Steve Francis who was traded for cap space (Penny Hardaway) Cuttino Mobley who was traded for cap space (Doug Christie), Kelvin Cato, which ended up being a solid deal with Darko.
But to give up a budding superstar in McGrady and end up with expiring contracts and a solid young talent in Darko (but alos giving up a future 1st too) is far from equal value.
AI needs to be gone. Philly's not going anywhere. I dont see them making the playoffs this year...Comment
