NBA League Pass to include live streaming games online...

I've subscribed to NBA League Pass in the past and found it to be worthwhile. This year, they are including online access to live streaming games through NBA League Pass broadband at NBA.com.

This is a pretty nice addition, and I suspect they may archive the broadcasts so that they can be watched later on, etc.

There is an article about NBA League Pass and it's new features HERE.

I would assume there is some sort of activation process that you must go through online to connect the League Pass television account to a NBA.com account.

I created a NBA.com account earlier today to take advantage of their fantasy leagues and the sign-up page mentioned streaming highlights, etc., so I imagine the fully streamed games will be unlocked/activated based on email address or account registered, possibly also mailing address tied to the television subscription.

This is awesome, especially considering you have to pay separately for the MLB tv and internet packages. I'm so stoked!!! about getting League Pass, I haven't been able to have it since the 2001-2002 season but i finally got a dish at my new place and i'm set for nba ball every night!! no more watching ****ty west coast college games late at night. good lord i've seen more gonzaga games than some of the players' parents.

what's your favorite part of league pass? for me it's the knowledge that i don't have to watch the hawks if i want to watch the nba. dont get me wrong i like my hawks, but come on watchign them every night would make you so demoralized. i also like watching west coast games late at night!!!!

Re: NBA League Pass to include live streaming games online...

I just came across the following SITE while checking up on NBA League Pass before ordering. Basically, you sign up for a NBA.com account and then connect that account to your television subscription to League Pass via account number.

Also, if you are intending to get the package, I recommend geting on board while you can still save $20 via Early Bird Special. I believe that applies through about November 7th.

Lastly, according to the above website regarding broadband access, "NBA LEAGUE PASS archives are available for 48 hours following each game," which will be a nice opportunity to watch games from the previous night the next day, etc.

They should allow you to order only the online option. I am at college and can't get league pass for TV so why can't I have access to the online portion for a fee?

                Could be dangerous...

Anyhow, I guess this is a good thing. If you have a nice laptop and you arent home, you can connect to nba.com and watch any game available

I'm not too concerned about giving out my cable account number to a partner company.. It's the only way I could think of that would allow the NBA to verify that you are subscribing to the television package. Furthermore, I am not really sure what one could do maliciously with another's cable account number, as it's not as "valuable" as a credit card or debit card number IMO.

Regarding signing up strictly for the streaming online games... It seems that isn't possible, according to the FAQ on the website.

Personally, I think this is a great addition to a package that was already great for basketball fans. I am looking forward to coming home from work, catching a west coast game in the evening, and likely watching a second game the following morning/day online. Even for those that don't wish to take advantage of the online portion, the cost of the package is the same as year's past, so it seems like a good thing all around.

                            Just an update...

NBA.com has apparently opened their NBA League Pass broadband site, and has tonight's games listed. It can be found HERE.

I tried clicking one of the games, and it said I must first create an account so that they authenticate me to watch the content, yet no link to do so is provided.

Has anyone gotten their's to work yet. It says my account number is invalid which is BS. I am sure they will work it out, just wondering.
