Re: LeBron James suspected to be recieving money...
The question is how she obtained the loan. If the bank gave her the loan based on future cash flows from Lebron's pro career, that is against amateur rules. (I'm speaking for TN, it might differ state to state). If the bank gave her the loan based on her current financial standing, then it is legal under amateur statutes. I have a feeling that this is against the high school statutes, but Ohio will turn the other way, because they are making money on him too.Comment

Re: LeBron James suspected to be recieving money...
Well, from what I've heard, his reason for going to the pros was to help out his family financially, if that's the case, I highly doubt his mother's financially able to by herself get a loan for that kind of vehicle. The average person can't go out and get financed for a hummer, if it was easier, there would be more people on the highways driving one.
I don't wish bad on anyone, but personally I don't like this kid, his mother, and his whole story. Obviously he's going to be full of himself, I mean how many kids in his position would be humble? I know kids like Willis McGahee, who are humble as can be, and know they're going to have nice futures one day, and look what happened to him (I was happy to hear he had the insurance taken out on himself), if the same happened to Lebron, I doubt I'd shed a tear.Comment

Well I've read two articles about him in various magazines and the mother is the whole problem. She knows he's going to cash in and she knows she will cash in too. Problem is, she wants to cash in now and she's making her son look like a fool in the process. I mean she can't wait 6-8 months until the draft. She's got to have the money now. Well, I hope the kids flops bigger than life, but he'll still get the big payday. It proves as much as bad things happen to good people that good things happen to bad people as well. No, I didn't draft Grossman on my fantasy team, what do you think I am an idiot?
