Elevate and if the guy goes through you, so be it, but just don't stand there and get teabagged.
I don't see it like this at all. Duncan made it harder on Lebron to get the dunk down and, as someone else stated, he didn't commit a foul. He didn't try to draw a charge, but where Duncan was standing, 95% of the league has to alter their shot to get it up. Lebron just got over him. You'll notice Duncan, and some of the other bigs that can defend, will do this a lot.

Just good position defense. This isn't street ball where you need to block for your "rep".

what was funny was in the 4th quarter tim had one and lebron got out of the way so he wouldn't be in the frame.

no challenge, he just got out of the way and let tim dunk it.

Call me a homer but Jordans baseline dunk over Ewing is better than the Lebron dunk.

Duncan didn't put up a fight. He just looked like he tried to scare him from dunking. Personally, it just looked alright. He does have some incredible hops for a big man his height. Incredibly quick on the real. I personally think that Kobe dunk was the best I've seen where he posterized Nash AND got the foul. Amazing stuff. I definitely am waiting to see what the Cavs. vs. Lakers look like this year. I know that Kobe and Lebron aren't sticking each other but both teams look to be going on a roll so far.

you should change the topic to Lebron embarrases his team, the league, and his fans for walking off the court with the game still going on. What a poor sport. At least Moss wasn't in the game when he walked off. The game was still going on... real classy Lebron....

Never left the court. He stood by the bench until the buzzer, and gave JJ a dap before he hit the tunnel. Only reason this was even mentioned is because of the ridiculous "OMG, OMG, OMG LEBRON LEFT THE COURT!!!!" call from the ATL annoncer.

Actually he disrespected the game, and his team mates, and the fans. It's the thought that counts. Don't set youself apart from the team, lose the same way they did until the clock hits 0:00. Don't bitch out like that.

Any comparisons with MJ that people like to make can pretty much end right there, as you'd never see MJ pull a stunt like that, ever.

Man I can't see this as anything bigger than me taking a pee pee. Honestly, the game was over, I bet a lot of mid-tier players like Damon Jones and Smush Parker do that too. It's no big deal.

I don't know what's worse. James pulling this crap or people thinking it's alright to do so.
If it really didn't matter, why didn't he just play it out 'til the last second? Too hard?
It's a poor work ethic, no matter how small and while in the grand scheme it makes absolutely no difference in the game, it's just a small gesture of respect. Pretty lame on James' part.....and sad.

Exactly. But of course Cav/LBJ fans will worship him no matter what, you can't expect them to be objective. As long as he puts up numbers, he can do what he wants.

If he would've manned up afterwards and simply said, "I'm sorry, that was a poor decision on my part, I have no excuse, it won't happen again." it would've been cool.

To me it was no different than a Moss, or T.O. move. "I am more important than the team". I just never saw that coming from him, so I was stunned. But even more disappointed in how he reacted afterward.

Now, I didn't see what happened (just heard about it), but was it really as bad as some are making it out to be? Ya'll know I've been tough on Lebron and this "Chosen One" nonsense, but I have been coming around to his game. Just want to give him the benefit of the doubt.
