I loved the combo of Marv and Doug. Also I loved Bob Costas and Doug.

I cannot believe how thouroughly the Lakers dominated those playoffs. They should have swept the 6ers too. This was a classic game.

I will never forget how AI stepped over Lue after he went mix-mode on him. That was cruel.

The NBA was so bad then. It woulda been a problem if that Laker squad didn't dominate.

I don't care what era they did it in, 19 straight wins and then to be undefeated in the playoffs until game one in the finals is absurd.

I wouldn't say that the Lakers' run from 2000-2003 was a weak era. There were plenty of talented teams, unfortunately all of them were in the West. The imbalance was just as absurd as the 19 straight wins.

SEE LA, this was your identity with the arena lighting.. those moments.

You created all that history in the SC. and now went awhole new direction?

i bet kobe had something to do with this. he wanted his own identity in the building.... lol

he gets away with murder out there.. 52 second mark he makes a move at the ref... anyother dude and itd be a T... he should be thankful

I remember I got so excited when Iverson helped beat the lakers in game 1, but too bad he couldn't be like Jordan carry his team without a dominat center to the title.

It's cool though. I was pulling for the Sixers to just win a game in that series. I knew the Lakers were too much for them.

Still, that's one of the best basketball games I have ever seen.

No matter what any Laker fan says, they will never take away from me the feeling I had when Mutombo was hitting those free throws to nail the game. I was hopping up and down and screaming to the top of my lungs, yelling out the window to my peoples. Just going crazy. Everybody in the 'hood was nutty that night, but in a good way for once. People beeping horns as they drove down the street. Some of my friends coming out their houses yelling "SIXERRRRRRRSSSSSSSSSS!!!!".

                      Magical.

Sixers didn't get blown out. They would put up a fight, but Shaq was DOMINANT. It was the best I've ever saw him play. Sixers make a run, Shaq smacked us back down. As long as we kept the Lakers from breaking our record.

I celebrated in the exact same way after Game 5 of the 2001 NBA Finals was over

We made a mockery of the Western Conference Playoffs. The Sixers won Game 1, after that, the rest of the games weren't even in doubt.
