Re: LeBron drops 32 in front of highest attendance ever for NC high school game

An even better analogy I was thinking of, If you were to win the $200 million Powerball jackpot, would you elect to take the lump-sum payment now or the yearly payout over 20 years. I would take the lump sum because tomorrow's not promised to anyone. God forbid, if something were to happen to me, from my understanding, the Lotto Commission doesn't have to pay the rest of the amount. With that said, why do you people expect or want LaBron James and his family to wait a couple more months when they can start reaping some of the benefits now! LaBron can blow out a knee tomorrow and the Nike and Adidas reps will run for the hills. It could all be gone in an instant (see Willis McGahee). I know a lot of you are just jealous. You'd probably be doing the same thing. LaBron is no more "overexposed" than say you little "Pop Stars" on MTV! So get you're noses out of the air and stop hating on this kid. It's funny how society expects people who ain't never had anything to remain humble when they finally get something. It sounds good, but in reality, it ain't gonna happen. LaBRON KEEP DOIN YOUR THANG KID. YOU AND YA MAMA! I hope she takes out another loan and buy him a huge estate before the JUNE Draft!

i believe LeBron will be ok in the league. he will not be another JORDAN or Kobe, because of what Knight said. the kidd lacks hunger because everything is already given to him. even when MAGIC came outta high schoool, he had that fire about him because he wanted to be the best, and had BIRD compete with.

LJ is a very unselfish player for someone could "do well" scoring wise. his skills will be tested in the NBA...
I am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" I love flying into a corner WAY too hot, scared spitless and sure I'll never hold it at this speed- and hearing the bike whisper "Sissy!"...

All young superstars have everything given to them. They all can write their own ticket! While I agree about Magic and Bird but they DID play in a different era. Now it's all about "I" and "ME" first and the "Team" second!

Very, very true (even if you did graduate from Southern Miss). I think someone had the debate of Kobe v. McGrady on this board. I say the heck with that, they cost too much. I could get my a McHale, Parrish, and Ainge for that price!!

Although an excellent educational institution, we do pretty well in sports too. The U of Memphis can attest to that as the Golden Eagles have handled them in Football (I think) and already one time in hoops this year.
