Jason Kidd appreciation thread
The guy passed Wilt tonight for sole possession of third place on career triple doubles. Only people ahead of him are Magic and the Big O. Kidd is averaging 13.4, 8.6 boards, 9.4 assists. I actually was upset when the Kidd trade happened because I was in love with Marbury, but this guy is just insane.Tags: None -

One of the greatest true point guards ever...anyone who debates that is a moron. Yes, I said it...MO-RON. As much as I hate the guy personally, on the court he's a magician.Cameras or guns, one of them is gonna shoot me to death. -
Re: Jason Kidd appreciation thread
I always talk about Kidd with my brother. We both agree way back when he was at Cal, you could see he was one of those players that just belonged in the pro league. Always have and truly one of the best ever PG's to play in the game.Comment

Re: Jason Kidd appreciation thread
He's one of the very few guys in the NBA right now that I'll watch his game regardless of who the Nets are playing because he's that entertaining to watch. Last night's game was a perfect example, that 3rd quarter the Nets had were they were bombing 3's and hitting nearly all of them; watching Kidd set up so many of those shots was basketball poetry."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: Jason Kidd appreciation thread
Yeah I've been a big fan of Kidd since he was drafted. Definitely one of the best to do it. He's one of those guys who I would like o see win a championship.
I always wonder where Grant Hill would be in this regard had those injuries not taken him out for so much of his career. Espn used to keep a tally on his and Kidd's triple doubles.PS: You guys are great.

Re: Jason Kidd appreciation thread
Interesting to look back and see that Jason Kidd is the only superstar to come out of the 1994 Draft.
Not to take away from everyone else because they became nice solid players (ie: Glenn Robinson, Grant Hill (injuries really took away a great career for him. I seriously at times want to cry because we all could have been a part of something special in watching this guy play), Marshall, Juwan Howard, and others).
Not a bad draft considering the amount of depth some of those guys have provided for their teams."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: Jason Kidd appreciation thread
Well, you did end up with Nash eventually. I love Kidd's game so much because he's a real giving player. My father and brother argued that Billups and all these other points are better than him. The man has skills. I can only wonder if he'll pass them on. He's almost like a modern day Magic.....minus the size and a little less magical.Comment
