As for AI...both him and Kobe are fake in their own ways. Kobe in trying to be like Jordan and Iverson for embracing hip hop, which is as fake as can be. Last time I checked, everyone in the 'hood isn't splashing chains worth 10 grand around their necks or riding around in the latest Bentley.

There was nothing wrong with Stern trying to bring hip hop into the NBA. The problem is that the hip hop generation brought along some players that were very resentful to those outside of their "inner circle" (alot of times on purpose) and chalked it up to the hip hop culture.

Meanwhile, it put a bad light on players of the hip hop generation like KG, Rip Hamilton and so on that could balance the culture they follow and also be media-savvy.

KG broke into the league as a teenager, playing with a smile on his face and trully enthused to be where he was, which was in the NBA. Then you have these other players that come in with a chip on their shoulder, when in actuality the world and the moon has been handed to them since grade school.

Not really. Mike got a good chunk of change from the Bulls, but he made most of his money with Nike and stuff.

I agree with the potential tidbit. It seems a lot of players are drafted nowadays for potential, while NBA ready players fall to the second round or go undrafted. There's no way a high school player (except LBJ) should ever been drafted number one overall.

You are wrong. Jordan made that year sth like 100 million or so overall. Tenth is right, 30 something million for a season.

How is AI fake for wearing expensive chains? I knew guys wearing those expensive chains and luxury german made cars around my way. Many NBA players emulate rich people in their neighborhoods.

The hip hop generation didn't start with AI, KG, or Ripp. It started with Magic Johnson, Jordan, and Sir Charles. Hip Hop is just a marketing tool to get people attention but NBA players been listening to Rap/Hip Hop for a long time.

AI problem is that he is still bitter about doing that bid. He dosen't care what people think. Who cares if AI or KG smiles. Let focus on their play and their contribution to the NBA. Louis Armstrong played with a smile on his face and Miles Davis turned his back on his audience and never smiled but they both made great music.

You mean drug dealers. Because unless you're making the kind of cash legitamately to buy chains that are worth over $10,000, it's getting in your hands through illegal ways. There's no middle ground about it.

That's a big ol' fat lie right there. Iverson is as ultra sensitive as the next superstar ball player. I've witnessed that up close and personal from his days here in Philly.
